I am a wife, a mother of 3 busy bees and a birth doula! The birth of my children led me down the path to doula-hood. I was so scared with the birth of my first child over nine years ago. The fear took over me and closed my eyes to the wonderful things that my body was capable of doing. Six years later brought the birth of my daughter. With the help of a dear friend (also a trained doula), my husba
nd and my mother, I was able feel the empowerment that comes with birthing your baby your way! A short 21 months later, baby #3 completed our family. After his birth, I knew that I would not have any more children but becoming a doula would be my next step. Helping other women feel safe, supported, loved and empowered during their births would fulfill my heart! In January 2013, I became a DONA trained doula and since have had the honor of witnessing the miracle birth. No matter how you want to give birth whether it’s at a hospital, birth center or at home. Whether you want a medicated or un-medicated birth or if you are having a cesarean; it would be an honor to be your doula!
