Second, make no mistake this is not them trying to help you. This is them projecting their own insecurities about not being able to do what you’re doing💥

Or, they are underhandedly trying to put you down, which is even worse 💩

Lastly, it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle and you can eat what you want 👌🏽

You should not be on any plan 🚫 that doesn’t allow you to eat those less-healthy foods sometimes.

And Remember...

You have a plan 🔑

You are working on it 💪🏽

And you’re doing great 👊🏽

Failure is a part of life.

How many times do we fall before we learn how to walk?

We fail the big exam but we learn how to study for it to pass it next time.

We don’t get the job but we learn what we need to do to get it next time.

I know it can be disappointing when we fail but the beauty of it is that we can choose to try again.

And again.
And again.
And again.

In failure, there are valuable lessons, if you’re open to receiving them.

Choose to leap today.

Choose to try something new.

Choose to try again.

“See told you, I knew you’d gain it back.”

“You’re too old to get fit.”

“You don’t have time to workout.”

“You don’t have time to cook.”

⚡️The external transformation happens after making changes on the inside.⚡️

Mindset.

We take care of our health in a way that reflects our perception of ourselves.

Are you worth the time and attention it takes to be in good health?

Of course you are! Being your BEST-SELF for you, allows you to be your best-self in all areas of your life.

So what can you do about that negative chatter?
👍🏽Schedule your workouts
👍🏽Make plans to hike, walk, workout, ect with a friend
👍🏽Plan out your meals for the week 📝
👍🏽If you’re going out to eat, choose your meal from the menu ahead of time
👍🏽Replace “I can’t” with “I will try”
👍🏽Acknowledge and be proud of yourself for the healthy choices you make each day

That thought, decision and moment gets you started and moving in the right direction.

Then comes momentum....

Each day after that you will be making a series of important decisions.

Some days you will have set backs.

Some days you will have victories.

But all the steps are important and matter, as long as you keep going!

First, if this were true then all people who use this strategy would be lean and fit. Second, how many of us have tried this and it hasn’t worked 👋🏽

Now, do you remember the hit tv show “The Biggest Loser”? Well, would you be surprised to know that a study that followed 14 contestants for 6 years after the show found that all but ☝🏽regained the weight. What was even more shocking was that they had markedly slowed their metabolism and their leptin levels had plummeted by the end of the show.

What is LEPTIN? 🧐

Leptin helps to inhibit hunger and regulate energy. So when their leptin levels drastically dropped, they were constantly hungry.

Most gained their weight back and some. Additionally, it wreaked havoc on their thyroid which regulates hunger and your metabolism.

What does this mean for us?

1️⃣Losing weight too quickly may affect leptin levels and make it extremely difficult to lose/regulate weight in the future.

2️⃣Slow and steady weight loss will help you lose the weight, without it having a detrimental affect on your leptin levels.

3️⃣When has doing ANYTHING too quickly been the best way to go 🤔

I know this is a difficult process but don’t get discouraged, you are doing great and will get there ❤️

2,977 lives were lost September 11, 2001.

Two thousand, nine hundred and seventy seven women, men, and children who did not return home that day.

The lives of their friends and families forever changed.

The day I visited what used to be the World Trade Center/Twin Towers, now the WTC 9/11 Memorial Site, I felt an overwhelming sense of sorrow. Reading so many names and trying to make sense of something so senseless was impossible.

My takeaway from that experience was to not take any day for granted. Each day is another chance to make a better choice, make a difference in someone’s life, soak in a moment, live, breath, and love.

May they all Rest In Peace 🙏🏽

Who else is ready for the weekend? 🎉

Weekends can be the time of the week when people experience the most anxiety about eating.

“Will I eat things I’m not supposed to eat.”

“I won’t be able to say no to (insert favorite food).”

“I’m going to gain all the weight back if I eat that.”

I get it! This was me and these thoughts still creep back in my head at times.

How to quiet down that voice 🤫

Best advice I can give is HAVE A PLAN, don’t over think it and enjoy yourself 🙌🏽

Like is too short to let these thoughts keep you from having a good time.

I’m not saying to just forget about your fitness goals and make a vow to start again Monday.

I’m saying you got this!
💥 Look at the menu before getting to the restaurant
💥 Prepare healthy snacks for your outing
💥 Schedule your weekend workouts
💥 Set limits ——> Example) 2 drink max or 1 slice of cake or 2 slices of pizza 🍕
💥 Don’t go anywhere “starving” - This will significantly increase your chances of overeating

Please note 💡 You do not have to do extreme ANYTHING, to reach your fitness goals.

Slow and steady gets you to your goal and some 🏁
