Our infants explored sensory bags filled with water, colorful drops, and rice today! 💧🌈

Through this activity, they are developing their fine motor skills as they press, squeeze, and move the materials around.

Coloring isn’t just fun—it’s full of learning! 🎨

When toddlers color a page with a letter on it, they’re building early literacy skills by becoming familiar with letter shapes and recognizing them over time. They’re also strengthening fine motor skills as they grip and control crayons, which helps prepare them for writing later on.

Our toddlers had so much fun creating their very own handprint shamrocks today! 💚 Using paint and their little hands, they explored textures, colors, and creativity while celebrating the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.

Not only was this activity adorable, but it also helped build fine motor skills and encouraged self-expression. We love watching our little learners grow through hands-on fun! 🌈✨

🔬🌈 Pre-K Skittles Science Experiment!

Our Pre-K friends became little scientists today during our Skittles science experiment! We placed Skittles in a circle on a plate and carefully added warm water. The children watched with excitement as the colors slowly spread toward the center, creating a beautiful rainbow pattern.

We talked about how the sugar and food coloring dissolve in the water and why the colors stay in their own paths instead of mixing right away. It was a fun way to introduce early science concepts like observing, predicting, and experimenting!

🎨 Color Mixing Fun! 🌈

Our infants explored color mixing today using a fun and safe sensory activity. We made edible paint using yogurt and a few drops of food coloring, then the children used their hands to mix the colors and watch them change right before their eyes!

Our simple recipe:
🥄 Plain yogurt
🌈 A few drops of food coloring
🥣 Mix in small bowls to create different colors

The babies loved squishing, swirling, and mixing the colors together. Activities like this encourage sensory exploration, creativity, and early learning while keeping everything safe for curious little ones.

Today our Pre-K and toddler class dressed up as mail carriers and had so much fun delivering mail to their friends! 📬✉️ Our friends created their own mail with envelopes and stamps. The Pre-K students practiced tracing their alphabet and drew fun pictures to place inside their envelopes to take home.

Activities like this help build early literacy skills, creativity, and introduce new vocabulary. Our school had a great time learning about mail carriers and the important role they play in our community! 😊

This week we are learning about community helpers, and our focus was on police officers today.👮‍♂️
Our infants painted their own police badges and police cars, exploring colors and creativity. Our two-year-olds had fun making police officer masks, learning about the important people who help keep our community safe.
Community helpers are people who work to help others every day. Police officers help keep us safe, but there are many others too!
