2 years ago today I heard some of the worst words of my life… “you have cancer” but as I reflect back today…. It was some of the best words of my life too…. It changed me… but couldn’t take me…. I learned and grew as a person and was able to meet some of the most amazing people I would have never meet and found strength that I would have never found on my own…. So …….I’m thankful for cancer and who it made me!!

6 month check-up!!!! All is good! She changed my hormone blocker med. Also, since I am BRCA-2, I will need to have a scan of my pancreas in a year. The BRCA gene can cause breast, uterine, ovarian, pancreatic or prostate cancer!! I only have one of those parts left 🤭🤣 and I never had one of them! And you know I had to participate in Fun Shirt Friday! Grow through what you go through!

The numbness has officially worn off!! I am in just a little pain…mostly just sore and some bruising! Thankful that I can move around and I have the amazing friends and family that I have! Just going to be chillin at home for the weekend!!!

I’m home!!!! The surgery went well! I feel good overall now, but I am still numb, so we shall see how I feel tomorrow! 🤞...

I have soaked up as much sunshine as possible… from the Florida Keys to Yellowstone Park! Tomorrow is hopefully my final surgery 🤞🏼I will be getting my expanders out and my breast implants put in! I am so excited for this final step….it’s been a long time coming!!

I have hair ya’ll!!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

I know….. I know…. It’s been a while…. I’ve just been out here living my best life!!! Since my last post I have had a full hysterectomy, hair growth and scheduled my final surgery  (removing my expanders and getting my breast implants) for July 20th. Today I had my survivorship appointment. They reviewed all of my treatments, test and surgeries… MY breast cancer journey. It made me reflect on everything the last year and a half had held…. I am a survivor and I am blessed!!! I am in love with life… I love being a wife, mom, daughter, friend and teacher! Cancer sucks… but it has also taught me so much along the way! So many people have supported and loved me…so thank you for taking this journey with me…. I have much love for you all!!!!

Ps-I’ll try not to wait 6 months until my next post! 😜
