At 74, Richard Arnspiger hasn't slowed down. He takes care of his house, hikes and is a photographer. However, when the arthritis in his knees started to make it difficult to comfortably do his photography assignment and enjoy life outdoors, the pain ultimately influenced the decision to undergo a second full knee replacement.
When Richard first started coming to KORT - Holiday Manor, he was nervous; he didn't know what to expect, his strength and flexibility were low.
"My team was primarily Ryan Hamilton and Kira Williams," Richard said. "Both were excellent in understanding how I felt and working with me to improve my strength and flexibility."
While they worked with Richard, Ryan and Kira were encouraging as he met milestones like bending his leg past the 120-degree mark.
Soon enough, Richard was taking walks again without pain, bending and lifting objects normally. Now, he's back to hiking and taking care of his horse.
