Y'all! I have such fabulous news!!!
For the past two years, two to three times each year, I have treated myself to a silent, personal retreat in hermitage cabins just 75 minutes from Louisville. It is a sacred time for me to go within and offer myself care and compassion. Each time, I am transformed and replenished.
The last time I was there, I was able to tour the group retreat center, K***s Haven, that had recently reopened after COVID. As I walked through, I was awash in feelings of deep peace and relaxation.
It has a cozy gathering room and another room that is PERFECT for gong meditation and sound healing, as well as a large, renovated, modern kitchen, an enclosed sun porch, and 7 bedrooms (and 2.5 bathrooms). I immediately started dreaming of retreats to host there!
Because it is renowned as a sacred place for reflection and renewal, most groups return again and again each year at the same time. There are very few openings available for new groups, especially on weekends, and especially during autumn.
GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?????!!!!!!
An opening came available the second weekend in October and I jumped on it! I'm gathering the information so I can tell you all about the upcoming retreat that I will be co-facilitating with my beloved.
For now, SAVE THE DATE for Friday, October 7th to Sunday, October 9th and STAY TUNED for more information soon!!!
K***s Haven, built in 1873, is a lovely two-story air-conditioned house located on nearly 800 acres with three lakes, numerous walking paths, native gardens, and a farm. The property is home to the Loretto Motherhouse and the Sisters of Loretto since 1824. Their love and care for this community fosters an atmosphere which extends a generous and peaceful spirit to seekers of all faith traditions.
I am honored to have the time, space, and opportunity to bring you to this beautiful place with me.
From the director, "Tell anyone who's interested that this retreat must be meant to happen, because NOBODY gets an October weekend, much less in the house, first time 'round."
Imagine yourself here!
