🎥 In the news: Fight for Air Climb is THIS Sunday! ⬇️

We’re so excited to share this incredible feature from WLKY highlighting the Fight for Air Climb at Lynn Family Stadium—including powerful stories from our Board Chair Lee Wisdom and Chair Emeritus Lisa Bellafato, interviewed by our amazing board member Jennifer Baileys.

Their “why” is deeply personal—and a reminder that every step we take is for those who struggle to breathe every day. 💙 As Lee shared, this climb is about standing “in solidarity with pulmonary patients across the state” and ensuring we continue funding research, education, and support.

We’re so proud to see our Fight for Air Climb Chair, Lindsay Thurman, featured by WLKY News and Jennifer Baileys WLKY ! 💙

Want to climb with Lindsay and support the fight for healthy lungs?
Register today at climblouisville.org

Lindsay is not only a passionate leader for this year’s climb—she’s also a Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) warrior who continues to turn her journey into advocacy and hope for others living with lung disease. This year makes the day even more special because Lindsay will be climbing the stairs at Lynn Family Stadium on her birthday as part of the Fight for Air Climb.

The interview is conducted by WLKY’s Jennifer Baileys — who also happens to be an incredible member of our Local Leadership Board! We’re grateful for her continued support and for helping shine a light on stories that matter to our lung health community.

Lindsay’s courage, resilience, and commitment to improving lung health inspire all of us. Thank you to WLKY for sharing her story and helping raise awareness for the fight for healthy lungs.

Donate Life Kentucky is proud to partner with the American Lung Association in Kentucky by providing a lung screening device that can be used at community health fairs across Kentucky.

These simple lung health tests help identify potential respiratory issues earlier, encouraging people to seek treatment sooner. Early detection can improve lung health, reduce the need for transplantation in some cases, and help patients who may one day need a transplant arrive stronger and better prepared.

Thank you to Allen Wilson and everyone who makes the annual Amelia’s Run possible. This event raises funds for lifesaving initiatives just like this one.
