Providers need to start taking their hands OFF women during normal physiologic birth.

I said what I said.

This episode is the conversation no one in the hospital is having:
– unnecessary cervical checks
– non-consented touch
– “happy mom, healthy baby” culture

As an L&D nurse of 11+ years… I’ve seen both sides.

And it’s time we do better.

Ginger + Chamomile are the real heroes in my story right now.

I’m on cycle day 2, and normally by this point I’d be dealing with debilitating cramps and a cyclical migraine knocking at the door.

But when you start learning your body and actually listening to her, things can change.

This cycle?
✨ Pain-free period
✨ No migraine in sight
✨ Still resting and taking it easy.

Small supportive habits add up.

If you haven’t yet, go listen to my conversation with my friend we talk about the things we do to keep our cyclical migraine buckets from overflowing.

It’s on The Hippie Martha Hormone Hour wherever you listen to podcasts.

What’s something about food or your cycle you wish you had learned sooner?

Estrogen doesn’t just affect your cycle.
It impacts your blood vessels, bones, gut, ovulation, cervical fluid — and more.

When estrogen fluctuates, it can shift vascular tone, increase inflammation, and trigger a migraine cascade.

That’s why so many women experience:
• Migraines 1–2 days before bleeding
• Headaches at ovulation
• Worsening symptoms in perimenopause

It’s not random. It’s hormonal — and some women are simply more sensitive to those shifts.

If you’ve only been offered a triptan or beta blocker without understanding what your hormones are doing, you deserve more.

In the latest episode of The Hippie Martha Hormone Hour, and I break down estrogen, histamine, the migraine bucket, nervous system support, and natural prevention strategies.

Just because I teach women about their hormones doesn’t mean I don’t ride the waves too.

I’m in the thick of it right now — but instead of spiraling, I have peace.

Because I understand what’s happening in my body… and why. 🤍

And you deserve that same clarity.
