Did you know that frequent or unexplained headaches can be a sign of anxiety?

The stress and tension can lead to muscle tightness in your head and neck, causing pain.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anaïs Nin

Skydiving: the ultimate reset button for your mind. Stress melts away when your focus is on the open door.

Here's why it works:

Relatable: Everyone knows what stress feels like; this taps into that universal experience.

Sense of Freedom: The image of an open door evokes a feeling of possibility and escape.

Unique perspective: Skydiving offers a way to reset that most people haven't considered.

The seasons change, and so do I.

Sometimes, the shorter days paint my world in shades of gray. The chill seeps into my spirit, whispering of loneliness and lethargy. That's when I remember SAD is real, and my brain needs a little extra light.

But then, spring arrives. The sun warms my cheeks, and the flowers are a riot of color. My energy returns, and hope dances in my step. Change is in the air, reminding me that even after the coldest winter, life finds a way to bloom again.

Just like the seasons, I am a work in progress. There are brilliant days and stormy ones. But through it all, I'm learning to find the light, even in the shadows.

Depression isn't just about sadness. It can look like:

Irritability and anger: Lashing out or having a short fuse.

Physical aches and pains: Unexplained headaches, body aches, and digestive issues.

Changes in appetite: Eating too much or too little.

Loss of interest: No longer finding joy in favorite activities.

Difficulty concentrating: Trouble making decisions or feeling 'foggy'.

Substance use: Turning to alcohol or drugs to cope.

Important Note: If you see these signs in yourself or someone you love, it's time to seek help

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 1 in 5 US adults experiences mental illness each year.

Life can feel like it's crashing down around you. Remember, during tough times – whether it's trauma, addiction, or mental health struggles – being kind to yourself is essential for healing. But don't forget that a little toughness helps you push forward too. It's all about finding that balance.

To cope with the world's chaos, I sometimes find a bit of dark humor helps – like imagining the moon crashing into us. It reminds me to take things less seriously. Life suddenly feels a lot lighter. So, enjoy every moment, because hey, the moon might one day just come crashing down.
