During your first visit we will do an evaluation to see where your child is in their abilities. If they’re right on track... great! We will give you some tips to help them moving forward, and you’ll be on your way. If they do need a little help, it’s never too early to start! Whether it’s during meal time, baths, or even dressing. Try using the same words during routines, to help child become familiar with new language. Here are a few examples:

-Meal times: You can repeat phrases such as “more bite”, “more drink”, or “all done”.

-Bath time: You can use phrases such as “splash”, “water on”, or talk about body parts “clean arms, clean legs”.

-Dressing: Talk about body parts “arm in” or “leg in”.

There are so many routines you perform with your child everyday! Start using familiar phrases during these daily tasks to help expand your child’s language.

It’s never too early to start reading to your little ones! A few tips when reading to your babies:

-Talk about the pictures
-Talk about the sounds animals and objects make
-You can read all the words or just a few

Reading is an excellent way to expose them to tons of new language and gives you both an opportunity to bond 📚
