Azik UPDATE 💙🩵

Azik is thriving — his heart function is strong, his lab results are looking great, and he’s full of energy and joy! The hospital staff absolutely adores him, and we’ve been so blessed with sweet visits that have kept our spirits up. We’re getting closer to being discharged — praise God! 🙌🏽

Here’s how you can be praying for us:
• Rest — Sleep is slowly improving, but this mama is still running on fumes.
• Healing & Stability — That Azik’s body continues to fully accept his new heart.
• Strength — For Azik’s recovery and for our family as we begin this next chapter apart from each other.

As many of you know, I’m not just Azik’s mama — I’m also a content creator, trying to share our journey with honesty and faith. This season has been one of the hardest, and while I don’t always love asking for help, so many of you have reached out asking how you can support us.

Azik UPDATE 💙🩵

🩵We are off all IV machines, all lines are out except an IV for meds and blood draws.
💙We are walking soooo fast and up and laughing.
🩵 Appetite has come back and increases daily.
💙We are sleeping better and hope that improves also.
💙🩵And most importantly his HEART looks and works so great.

We love and appreciate you all for keeping up with us and checking in and praying. We aren’t out of the woods yet but he’s looking so good. These first 3 months are crucial for rejection but God has Azik’s back and we all have his so keep those prayers coming.

Many have asked how they can help during this time. We’ve created an Amazon Wish List with a few things that would help while we’re here, and we also have our GoFundMe and Venmo set up for ongoing support.

Although we may not be hospitalized as long as we initially thought, we are still facing about three months of separation from our family. We are now supporting two households and are in urgent need of a second car to make this season work. Any help — big or small — is deeply appreciated.

Azik UPDATE💙🩵

Azik is thriving miraculously!

🩵We are officially free from all drips.
💙We have moved to the other ICU side 🙌🏽 with the added blessing of a bathroom.
🩵His vital signs and overall health are superb.
💙He took a nap and rested today even though we had a big walk.
🩵We are hopeful that the IJ ( the line stitched into his neck) will be removed tomorrow.

We are in awe of the Lord's presence and divine intervention in Azik's life and this hospital!

Please continue to pour out your heartfelt prayers.

Yesterday‘s UPDATE: God has decided to show how much of a miracle worker he is. He has been faithful and so fruitful.

🩵💙 Azik got off all assisted oxygen last night and excelled with room air
💙🩵 We had some trouble sleeping still but slept for a few hours then woke up for a few and back to sleep for a few. Praying tonight is a better night.
🩵💙 We had our first attempt at walking and he almost “ran” and walked beyond expectations. Then he did it again this afternoon.
💙🩵 We are so on track and God has been so FAITHFUL 🙌🏽

♡ ̆̈ UPDATE TIME ♥︎ ♡ ̆̈

Azik didn’t sleep very well but he’s doing good today. We weaned off and lowered meds and almost off all drips. They are minimizing his machines and pulled his chest tubes out this morning 😬😬 He did amazing and has been oretty stable most of the days.

We should be weaning off our oxygen support and another med around 6 tonight. Go Azik go!

Prayers for a good nights sleep and up and walking possibly tomorrow 😬

♡ ̆̈ UPDATE TIME ♥︎ ♡ ̆̈

Azik is doing so good. He’s still in and out of sleep but he’s excited and awake for some time now. So tonight they’re going to give him a bit more meds just to get him to sleep through the night and hopefully help with the disorientation we had from last time. ̆̈ He is sprinting again in this walking marathon. Slow down my boy ̆̈

Update: We’re waking him up to extubate him. He’s in and out of sleep but doing so good!

Afternoon Update:

🫀Closure went very well. All his numbers, Xray and everything came back great. They are going to fully wake him up and extubated him.

🫀My stomach is in knots. I cut his nails and just waiting now. I’m a little nervous cause he has chest tubes in still for drainage. They’ll keep him sleepy but awake.

Prayers for a safe extubation and for time to be perfect. May he be following the steps that were laid out for him

Update 💙🩵💙 Yesterday we lifted his paralytic to see if he was properly sedated. He moved his hands and feet then he woke up a bit. He was about 60-70% alert (still drowsy) he made eye contact, then we just got him back to sleep and under the paralytic. He did great all day and is doing better than expected. His heart just needed to settle. He didn’t even need to use the pacemaker they put in 🙌🏽

Mark stayed with him last night and said he had a great night. They weened the 2 medications to .5 and 1.

They him go for his chest closure and we will update once he’s out 🩵💙🩵💙
