With the end of Kidney Awareness Month and Social Work Month we want to highlight a special social worker for this month- Thank you for all you do!
Jesenia Velazquez, LMSW officially licensed 07/2025. I have been in my current role with Fresenius going on 9 months now. I received my associates in Social Work in 2016, Bachelors in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018 and my Masters in Social Work in 2023. I've had plenty of previous experience in case management as I started out as a patient advocate in rural hospital, became an adult case manager in behavioral health, and still a legal assistant with an immigration organization. I became a social worker to help turn overwhelming moments into manageable ones, and to remind people that support and compassion still exist. I came into renal health because of personal influences from my family who have gone through treatments themselves. In my free time, I love to watch true crime documentaries, crochet, and I am an avid fan of K-Pop!
