Lis has been a valued part of the optical industry for over 30 years and a cherished member of the West Shore Eye Care team since 1994. She is a proud Ferris State University graduate, earning her AAS in Opticianry in 1987 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Management in 1989. As an ABO Certified Optician, Lis truly enjoys helping patients find the best vision solutions for their needs.

When she’s not at the office, Lis loves spending time with her friends and family — or you might catch her in Hart at the Pink Elephant Diner, which she proudly owns and operates.

Today we’re celebrating Rachel, a dedicated and highly skilled member of the West Shore Eye Care team since 2018! 🌟
Rachel began her ophthalmic journey back in 2011 and has spent the years since building a deep foundation of knowledge and hands-on experience. From pre-testing and scribing to special testing—including visual fields, retinal photos, and macular scans—Rachel brings exceptional expertise and care to every patient she meets.

Her commitment to learning is inspiring: she became a Certified Nurse Assistant in 2011, a Certified Scribe in 2016, and earned her ocular hygienist certification from the Canadian Association of Optometrists in 2022. Her honest, reliable, and ambitious personality shines through in everything she does, both for her patients and her community.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys attending sporting events, repurposing furniture, and spending quality time with friends and family.
