In addition to all mentioned below, Kailyn works part time at the Gill Home in the activities department. The residents really enjoy her energy and her dance lessons! Keep being amazing Kailyn!

Kailyn began dancing at the age of three and instantly fell in love with dance class. She danced at the Dance Factory in Springfield, VT from ages 6-18 taking various styles of dance such as; modern, ballet, pointe, hip hop, tap, and jazz. There she assistant taught multiple classes and ran the summer camps.

As of last season Kailyn joined the Dreamz family and began by teaching mini combo classes and assistant teaching acro! She also taught all of our summer classes and intensives this summer.

This year she will be teaching contemporary, mini hip hop, ballet/tap, and creative movement, and cannot wait to start the dance season and get our bodies moving again!

Additionally, Kailyn is continuing her dance education at Keene State college going into her sophomore year in the Fall, majoring in dance pedagogy (with a focus of contemporary dance) and early childhood education. Kailyn believes that dance should be a place to grow and succeed, but also a place where everyone is welcomed, and cannot wait to see everyone in the Fall!

Today, Gill graduated our class of 3 LNA students. Next, on to testing. Congratulations Kiko, Candle, and Tonya!!!

For today’s Nutrition with Meg, the residents chose blueberries and made blueberry muffins with fresh berries picked this morning! Blueberries are a nutritional powerhouse, packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that offer a range of health benefits. They are known for their high antioxidant content, which may reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, and improve brain function. Blueberries also provide essential nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber, supporting heart health, bone density, and digestion.

On Tuesday, we took a group of gentleman to Orvis in Manchester, VT, to see the exhibits and learn more about the art of fly fishing. We then finished the day off by going out for pizza! What a day!

Last week, accomplished dancer/activity aide, Kailyn, gave the residents some dance lessons. Kailyn is working for us this summer while she is on summer break from Keene State where she is majoring in dance. Kailyn hopes to have her own studio someday.
