Dear friends, family and clients,

I have officially moved the bulk of my massage and Stone Medicine practice to my home office at our beloved Quietude Acres in Luray. I will continue to teach at Cedar Stone School of Massage and will continue to practice at Cedar Stone Spa on a very limited schedule (one day a month) for those clients who find that most convenient.
Due to risk of Covid to myself and the high risk members of my family and immediate circle I will be limiting myself to 12 sessions a month from both practices combined. I am making some other changes to help keep my family and my clients safe. Intense sanitation of the spaces, a more thorough intake process and mask protocols are in place.
I’d like to have a small clientele of mostly friends, family and current clients from the Luray area. My intention is to have a really special small practice based on mutual trust. In these times I recognize the NEED of many for bodywork and soulwork (myself included) and I am ready to help you through this intense time of upheaval.
Between gauging demand for my services and keeping us all as safe as possible I will not be taking any NEW clients from the general public for the next few months. That being said I will be making updates to my website and list of services as well as prices to reflect my most recent education in Stone Medicine and the needs of my practice in the current climate.
I hope those of you who are feeling called to receive will reach out and that you and yours are feeling and functioning well in this wild ride of 2020.

It has been a wonderful year of experiences and connection working for Valley Health. I cannot sufficiently sum up how rewarding it has been to work in my community in this way. Today will be my last day doing massages at PMH Fitness as I move forward seeking growth and deepening my purpose. I start at Cedar Stone Spa this Sunday! I will be there Alternating Sundays and Mondays and every Tuesday and Thursday from here on out after finishing up some shifts for Woodstock Fitness early next week! I will still occasionally see Luray folks at my home office and I’ll see all you Harrisonburgers in the coming weeks!

Here's the Big Update for the summer!

I am still at our shared offices in The Downtown Healing Arts Center in Harrisonburg a couple days a month. I love this space and the community it holds. In the past year I've had a hard time prioritizing my private practice over parenting my little girl and had decided in late 2017 after a deseminate (very late) Lyme Disease diagnosis that I could not continue to do so if feeling so torn about the circumstances.
I was open to and seeking change and in late January I accepted a position as the sole Licensed Massage Therapist working for Valley Health Page Memorial Hospital Wellness Center (formerly Valley Health Fitness Center). I have slowly moved my Luray and Page County clientele to this location over the past few months. While a year ago if you'd asked me if I would ever be an employee again I'd have laughed and said "Not a chance! " I've got to admit I am so happy I made this change.
I work at the Wellness Center 2 afternoons a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, open to the public) and Mondays for a few hours I am honored to have the opportunity to work on any patients staying at our community's beautiful hospital. It is incredibly rewarding and humbling work, and I feel so lucky to be where I am.
I plan to continue on as a member at DHAC Harrisonburg and as well, you can plan to see me at a few of your favorite music festivals and sporting events this summer continuing to share massage and bodywork with those of you who need it!
This change has enabled me to let go of most of the distractions of owning a business full-time which has opened my life up for other experiences. As is the case with change it often comes in waves. We are now in full swing of wedding planning, buying and renovating a new home and selling the house where we began to build our life. 2018 has been and will continue to be one of the most exciting, blessed and profound years in my life. Onward, to summer!

Helping support my body through transition, I have been inspired. We harvested this first haul as a family this evening. If the dehydrator method works I will be sharing these and subsequent harvests as medicinal tea, soaking tea, and mixed with salts and essential oils for soaking as well.
