While there are no precise statistics quantifying the percentage of holiday-related cardiac events that require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), extensive research consistently demonstrates a marked increase in fatal cardiac incidents during the Christmas and New Year’s period. Notably, a significant proportion of these deaths occur outside of hospital settings, where immediate bystander CPR is often the critical factor in determining survival.
