Happy Family Friday!

Macclenny Nursing and Rehab hosted another amazing Trunk or Treat event for our community! We had a great turn out as everyone enjoyed the creativity of our staff who created wonderful trunk displays! Our Residents love Halloween and had so much fun handing out candy to all of the children who came dressed in their Halloween costumes. Everyone also enjoyed the snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn that our Activities Team prepared for the evening.

All of the attendees were able to vote for their favorite display. The displays were, Strawberry Shortcake, Wicked, Barbie, Hunting, Motorcycles, Harry Potter, Hocus Pocus and Lilo and Stitch but Andy's Room from Toy Story was our big winner as over 250 votes were tallied to decide the best trunk design. Thank you to everyone who made this Trunk or Treat so much fun!

Happy Thoughtful Thursday!

Congratulations to our October employee of the month, Brooklyn Berry. Brooklyn is an RN and our wound care nurse, but she is so much more than that! Brooklyn is always willing to go the extra mile for staff and our residents to ensure that our residents get the care they deserve. Many of the family members of our residents compliment Brooklyn for the great care that she provides.

Brooklyn not only provides wound care to our residents, but she is also more than willing to jump in and help on the floor as needed. She assists staff in all aspects of care. She also picks up additional shifts on her off days to help out on the med carts. She is also a huge asset to the clinical leadership team. We appreciate your dedication to your role here and to our residents Brooklyn!!

"Congratulations to our September employee of the month, Joann Burnham. Joann is our Evening Cook and has been a great addition to our dietary team for over 1 year now. Joann started off with us as a Dietary Aide and was promoted to a Cook this past March. Joann has a caring approach and is always more than willing to help our staff with meeting our residents' dietary needs. Most importantly, she always does it with a smile. Thank you, Joann, for doing such a great job cooking delicious meals for our residents!
