February is Heart Health Month

At our Center, caring for the heart goes beyond clinical care — it’s about supporting the whole person. From nutritious meals and daily movement to medication management and wellness monitoring, our teams are committed to helping residents live heart-healthy lives every day.

Here are a few simple steps to protect your heart:

- Know your numbers — blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar
- Move your body for at least 30 minutes a day
- Choose heart-healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
- Limit sodium and processed foods
- Stay hydrated
- Manage stress through rest, connection, and mindfulness
- Keep up with regular check-ups and medication as prescribed

Heart health is lifelong health. Let’s take intentional steps this month — and every month — toward stronger hearts and healthier lives!

We would like to congratulate our January Employee of the Month, Tameca Givens! Tameca is one of our dayshift nurses and is an amazing asset to our nursing team. Tameca always shows Sincere Appreciation to everyone as she always can be found with a smile, a funny story, and a Caring Approach with our residents. Tameca is a long-time employee and does an amazing job providing care for our residents. She is a team player and always willing to assist her coworkers in any way to provide quality care for our residents. Tameca has also been a huge help by working extra shifts, including nights, to help with staffing needs. Thank you, Tameca, for all you do for our facility and our residents.
