We’re growing our Board of Directors, and we’re looking for people who want to do more than attend meetings.
Our organization is focused on addiction recovery, behavioral health, and sober living. We put clients first, and every decision we make impacts real people working to rebuild their lives.
This is a working board. Members are expected to engage, contribute, and help move the mission forward, not just observe it.
Board members will help:
• Shape strategy and organizational growth
• Strengthen financial sustainability
• Expand access to recovery and housing services
• Open doors through partnerships and community connections
We are especially seeking individuals with experience in:
• Fundraising and development
• Financial oversight
• Legal or compliance
• Addiction or Behavioral Health
• Community leadership
• Lived experience in recovery (strongly valued)
This is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful and to actively shape an organization that saves and changes lives.
If you’re interested (or know someone who might be), send me a message or comment below.
Be part of the work. Be part of the impact.

Did you know our small 501(c)(3) nonprofits serve thousands every year, while our leadership earned a combined total of only $8,666 last year? We operate on passion, not profit, and the lives changed through our programs prove why this work matters.
We treat the whole person, and because of that approach, we see stories like these:
A man who relapsed 7 times for decades is now sober and serving as a peer counselor.
A young man who survived trauma, revived his own father with Narcan as a child, and began injecting drugs at 13 is now sober, employed, and thriving.
Both openly say our programs saved their lives.
Right now, we urgently need monthly partners ($50–$1,000) and one-time donors to continue this life-saving work. We must raise $50,000 in December and $100,000 going into 2026 to keep helping thousands find recovery, stability, and hope.
Every dollar goes directly to the cause. Your support moves people from homelessness to stability, breaks destructive cycles, and creates real, lasting change.
If you feel led to make a difference, please contact bberg@lakeareacab.com or send donations to:
Lake Area Counseling and Behavioral Health
409R W US Hwy 54, Camdenton, MO 65020
Pavilion Place
52 Pavilion Circle, Macks Creek, MO 65786
Your generosity doesn’t just support a program — it saves lives. Thank you for giving
