For those not on the e-mail list: this is a bittersweet day. We have struggled with this for the past few weeks. We have decided to stop the regular route. It is peak season and we will try to make one monthly delivery of bulk purchases through early fall. We will announce the week before and take orders. Thanks to all who have supported this small business.

Papa Jimmy is out of the hospital but still has some follow up doctors appointments, so no produce this week. Thanks for your prayers and understanding.

Never a dull day on a produce route. At one of the Friday afternoon stops Jimmy heard "hey buddy" three times but didn't see anyone. Then someone said "look up". Two men were stranded on the roof. The wind had blown their ladder down. They had been trying to get help for 30 minutes. My hero to the rescue.

Eight years ago today we ran the route for the first time. We prepped everything on Thursday morning and delivered Thursday afternoon and part of the day on Friday. We are so blessed! Thank you to everyone shops with us and helped us grow. Have a blessed day!

A post from Bertolli says to eat grapes to remind you to be humble and thankful for the wealth to come in the new year. I am sure my daughters would prefer this instead of dry peas and turnips! But it's a southern tradition.
