Happy New Year 2025. Southern Primary Care at 2192 Ingleside Avenue is now under renovation. Their office chose to keep the phone numbers at this office location. If you are in need of a new family physician, you are welcome to call them at 478-477-0996. They will welcome you to their practice.

Pam and I have traveled to Baltimore to see our grandchildren twice now since closing the office. Four boys under the age of 12 are very ROWDY! Christmas and SNOW!!!!

Tomorrow, December 13, 2024 is our final day at 2192 Ingleside Ave. The new physician's office, Southern Primary Care, will begin their transition. They plan to reopen the building, newly renovated sometime early 2025. You can call them for a new patient appointment at 478-477-0966.

This message is to let those who will be requesting medical records know that it may take up to 6 weeks to obtain a copy of your record after this week. If you need to contact us, please use the email address:

Update on office phone...

The phone number for the office at 2192 Ingleside Avenue will remain the same. When you call the phone number, it will be redirected to the new owner, Southern Primary Care. You are welcome to make a new patient appointment with them and I know the new medical office will welcome your call and your business. Dr. Rantz

As many of you already know, Dr. Rantz retired from his full-time job at his office on Ingleside Avenue. The office at 2192 Ingleside Ave. has been purchased by:

Southern Primary Care (478) 477-0966

Their office plans to renovate the building and re-establish patient care in early 2025. You can call their office to make a new patient appointment or change to any other provider.

Our office phone will be disconnected in early December 2024.
Should you need us to send your record to a new physician, you can contact us at our email address: drrantz@cox.net or send us a message using the FaceBook messenger. We will be checking the email twice weekly beginning December 1, 2024.

First time in a long, long, long time that our home and the office did well through this storm. Apparently, many in Macon are without power. I haven't heard or read about trees down here in Macon. We have power and trees are still standing! Praise God and praying for those who got hit much harder.

To all of our family and friends, please be safe and wait patiently with a greatful heart. Our prayers go out to all of the hard-working men and women who are responding to emergencies across the affected areas.

Pam replied to one of the comments, but wanted to expand on our last post.

Just letting everyone know...Dr. Rantz is not retiring from being a doctor. He's just changing his venue. Dr.Rantz has been Medical Director at one of our local Skilled Nursing and Rehab facilities for several years now. He will continue to practice medicine there. We jointly chose to wind his full-time business down, so he and Pam could travel and fly to see our grand boys.

Yes, they are all rowdy boys and the military moved their Father to Maryland. We must remain in their lives.

To all of our followers. After 45 years in the medical field, Dr Rantz will be winding down his private practice office on Ingleside. He will close his Ingleside office in December 2024 and his last patient appointments will be at the end of October 2024. If you follow him on Facebook, we will keep this page and provide occasional updates for you.
