Daughter Sade: “We need to visit Cali again since that’s where I’m thinking about moving to with all of my friends after high school for business & fashion.” lolol 😁
Ok, leggooo.
Who knows what she’ll actually do after high school?
We all know that things can change and evolve as we grow in various circumstances and seasons.
What I do know is that many of the professional women that I serve who dislike their degree choice and/or careers dislike them in part because their parents, family and/or friends told them what career they “should” be doing (as if we’re all exactly the same) rather than asking better open-ended questions that translates into doing what is meaningful for the big picture.
Their words not mine.
…so they begin to seek additional support and hire wellness-based career consultants like myself, who don’t tell them what career they “should” do, but rather ask more strategic, engaging open-ended questions while providing insight and innovative resources that many of their peers are totally unaware of.
This helps to guide them in making better career transitions that are more aligned with their interests, personality, gifts and unique talents.
When others zig, they now zag….
…. And then they proceed to willingly surpass other’s beliefs, perceptions, opinions and expectations since they’re now making more meaningful and purposeful decisions that enhance their joy while serving others in broader, innovative ways ….
Did you know that you don’t have to sit idly behind a screen submitting hundreds of applications waiting for someone to finally respond to you (unless you just want to), but rather assertively build high-quality relationships and have the right conversations with key influential decision-makers to help you land certain opportunities of interest even when you have limited experience and are not looking for them?
Btw: Since I realize that we’re all on different unique journeys in life if this message doesn’t resonate with your chosen lifestyle approach then that’s cool too. I think it’s wonderful that we all have free will to be different and unique.
Do you boo. 😁

Society: “Be yourself.”
Society: “No, not like that.”
Enjoy just a few images our trip highlights. 🤩
Not included: Dude about to jump over the bridge like Superman at Santa Monica pier until the cops came, nearly $5 per gallon gas, crazy traffic at all times of day, a runaway car on the loose, etc.
All in all it was a great, eventful experience.
When I host my next Cali Retreat would you like to join the rest of us?
🌴🥂🎨 From childhood I’ve always loved traveling, exploration and a lifestyle that involves embracing new, innovative ideas and ways of seeing the world.
One way that I am continuing to achieve this is by bringing along other supportive, purpose-driven women who value a life full of spark and create meaningful experiences while enhancing their intrinsic career purpose using a wellness-based approach.
