Our souls hold deep reverence for life, but how often do we tune in and listen to the wisdom it contains? How often do we rely on it to be our source of guidance for decision-making or choosing which direction to go in life?
It all comes down to our spiritual self care, because that's ultimately what listening to our inner guidance is-good self care.
In today's fast-paced world, it has become increasingly important to prioritize our self-care. It is a popular topic and we can find self-care everywhere: in social media, in printed and digital publications, catalogs, television, movies and more, making self-care an estimated $1.5 trillion dollar industry. While physical and mental well-being are commonly addressed, one aspect that often gets overlooked is our spiritual self-care.
Spiritual self-care is the practice of cultivating a connection with our inner being, seeking meaning and purpose in life, and nourishing our soul. It goes beyond traditional self-care practices, as it focuses on tending to our spiritual needs and embracing our divine essence. By acknowledging and honoring our spiritual nature, we can experience a profound sense of fulfillment and inner peace.
So, how do we come back to our sacred center? It's actually quite simple. Here's a good place to start...

By engaging in spiritual practices, such as meditation, prayer, or mindfulness, you can develop a deeper connection with the divine. This connection allows you to tap into a higher power and gain a sense of guidance, support, and purpose in your life. What this means is that by spending time daily going within, intention, Breathwork, sound healing and meditation can help to bring you more into alignment with the high vibration of the soul.
Also helpful is to spend some time daily meditating by quieting the mind, calming and relaxing the body to a place of stillness, and staying in that state of non-motion for 5-10 minutes a day can be deeply revealing and healing.
If you're fidgety like me and don't like to sit still and find meditation frustrating--take heart. You may want to move during your meditations. I have found that combining things like mindfulness with gardening, weed-pulling, raking leaves, taking a brisk walk around the neighborhood, doing the dishes, doing laundry, and so on all help to bring your awareness back into your physical body while relaxing the mind with a simple physical task.
You don't need to be a guru to make small steps towards a more fulfilling relationship with your sacred center.
There is a vast inner landscape inside of you, entire universes within you just waiting to be explored. And reconnecting with your heart and soul can be a profound and empowering form of soul alchemy that can fuel your life with more passion, vibrancy, and love.
