MEET ERIENNE LAUERSDORF:

Erienne Lauersdorf is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Peak Endurance, where she helps individuals move, perform, and live with greater confidence and resilience. Growing up in a small farm town in Wisconsin as the youngest of five in a highly athletic family, Erienne developed an early appreciation for movement, grit, and hard work. She brings a whole-person approach to care, blending evidence-based physical therapy with a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands placed on active individuals. Erienne has a special interest in supporting athletes, active adults, and women through pregnancy and postpartum recovery, helping them return to the activities they love safely and sustainably. Her passion lies in empowering patients through education, individualized treatment, and a belief that movement is one of our greatest tools for long-term health

In this episode of the My Fit Tribe Podcast, I’m sitting down with someone who’s truly part of my tribe—my physical therapist through injury, Erienne Lauersdorf from Peak Performance.

We dive into injury prevention, recovery, tissue therapy, and how advocating for yourself can change everything. This is a powerful conversation you’ll want to check out.

One of my goals for 2026 is to prioritize mobility. As I get older, my body gets stiffer and sorer—and it’s become clear that this isn’t something I can ignore.

So I committed to 20 minutes of yoga a day.
I can make room for 20 minutes.
I’m realizing just how much my body needs it.
It forces me to slow down.
It supports another goal of mine—better breathing.

Find joy in your goals. Don’t make them feel like punishment or just another thing you “should” do. Growth happens when you choose what supports you, not what drains you!

What a year it has been for the My Fit Tribe Podcast.
Our top episode of the year was my conversation with Cortland Dahl on meditation, mindset, and the Healthy Minds App.
This is an area I’m excited to focus on even more in 2026. If you missed this episode, now is the perfect time to give it a listen

MEET LEE CARLSON:

Lee Carlson is an American author, journalist, and Zen practitioner whose work explores resilience, creativity, and the quest for meaning. He is best known for his acclaimed memoir Passage to Nirvana, which chronicles his remarkable recovery from a traumatic brain injury and the life-transforming journey that followed — blending reflection, Zen insights, sailing, and personal renewal. A seasoned writer with decades of experience in magazine, newspaper and broadcast journalism, Carlson has contributed to outlets including Outside, The New York Times, NBC Sports and more, and has also worked in advertising and media production. He speaks widely on topics such as neurological trauma, creative recovery, mindfulness, and perseverance, bringing compassion and depth to audiences of all kinds. Carlson’s work connects deeply with readers seeking inspiration in the face of adversity.

On the MY FIT TRIBE PODCAST, we dive into conversations about mind, body and spirit- and for me the spirit-centered episodes offer a grounding sense of comfort and connection. This week, I am joined by Lee Carlson, author of A Single Excellent Night. Together, we explore his profound journey as a Zen practitioner, the resilience and clarity it cultivated and the powerful series of life events that shaped his path toward teaching others.

Lee shares wisdom born from stillness, hardship and awakening-inviting us to rethink how we move through the world. If you’re seeking calm insight or a deeper sense of meaning, this conversation will speak to you. Join me for a truly enlightening exploration of spiritual growth and the quiet transformations that change everything.
