NOTICE UPDATE (10/24/25): Orange County is aware of Governor Youngkin’s Declaration of a State of Emergency and assurance that the Commonwealth will provide food benefits for affected Virginians during the federal government shutdown. We look forward to working with our state partners to make it possible.
However, we want to be proactive in helping those in need, and we do not yet have details regarding how state resources will be allocated to Orange County. Until we do, we still encourage those who may need assistance to call (540) 672-6166, so that we can better coordinate local resources for them in the meantime.

➡️ Orange County DSS does not have any additional information regarding the future availability of SNAP.
