This couple has been training with since mid December-just about 6 weeks time. We’ve slowly been ramping up their programs’ intensity in the gym as we’ve been working on tweaking and bettering their nutrition. As you can see from their scans, they have both made some really good progress in a short period of time. They have both gained muscle mass, reduced body fat, and thus their PBF(percent body fat) has decreased by multiple % points. Now some would look at these changes as minor, but if you take this progress over several months to a year they will be able to achieve some major improvements in all of those areas…Maintaining and building one’s muscle mass as one is losing body fat/weight takes time, but it’s so worth it for the betterment of one’s health. Kudos to these 2 for doing it the right way and not looking for quick fixes that don’t bring long term healthy benefits 💪😊

At TriFit Training & Wellness we focus on 1) Exercise 2) Nutrition 3) Recovery to ensure we are holistically taking care of our bodies and not just focusing on 1 of those 3 key elements of wellness…

When it comes to ‘Recovery’ there are many things we can do to help our bodies rebuild after a tough workout. One of the many things I personally like to do, and encourage others to do, is to take an extra warm/hot epsom salt bath post dinner. It opens up blood flow in the muscles we worked which then helps to deliver nutrients to rebuild what was broken down. And, the epsom salts helps to hydrate us with healthy minerals…And yet another really cool benefit? Typically warming up our bodies helps to relax us and prepare us to fall asleep faster and have a higher quality night’s sleep💪😊

At & Wellness, we don’t just take our clients through workouts and then move on to the next client session. We teach, coach, advise, encourage, and hold our clients accountable by staying in touch with them throughout the week and weekends to see how they are doing. We coach them on their nutrition and getting in other activity away from their sessions. Because we know that it isn’t the 2-4 hours that we see them in session that makes the biggest difference in each client reaching their goals-l, but it’s what he/she is doing the other 164-166 hours of the week that will determine how effective their training sessions are with us 💪😊

Doing the little things…again and again and again…add up to BIG positives for your health over time 💪😊

We've always known that sleep, movement, and nutrition matter for longevity—but a brand new study in The Lancet just quantified exactly how little it takes when you address them together.

The study followed nearly 60,000 adults and found something remarkable: combining just 5 extra minutes of sleep, 2 minutes of moderate physical activity, and a small dietary improvement (like adding half a serving of vegetables) per day was associated with gaining one additional year of lifespan.

When researchers looked at improving these behaviors individually, sleep alone required 25 minutes more per day to achieve the same one-year gain. Physical activity alone needed 2.3 minutes. And diet alone? It couldn't produce a statistically significant benefit on its own.

The secret is synergy. These behaviors amplify each other through interconnected physiological pathways. Sleep affects appetite regulation and energy for movement. Movement improves sleep quality. And nutrition supports both.

This is proof that you don't need a complete lifestyle overhaul to extend your life. Small, sustainable changes across multiple pillars of health create compounding benefits that isolated interventions simply can't match.

This is by far one of my top client testimonials of 2025. started working with me over 2.5 years ago for a few months prior to his wedding. He got in much better shape, got married, took a break from training for a little over a year, then decided in July of this year(before photo) to get back going again. But, this time he was determined to do this on his own with a little distance help from myself to help coach and just hold him accountable. And, what you see in the after photo is almost a 40 pound weight loss with a decrease in % body fat of over 4%. Andrew stayed consistent with his workouts each week and with his nutrition. He made adjustments to both of those as he got better cardiovascular stamina, got stronger, and gained nutrition knowledge from doing his own research and following this page. He cut out sugary drinks and most sugar in general. He cut out most of the high glycemic carbs and processed foods that were in his past diet. He trained when he did feel like it. He trained when he didn’t feel like it. He stayed focused, persistent, and DISCIPLINED even when he didn’t feel motivated. And, he’s not stopping here. He’s just beginning. And one of the best things I heard today from him was that in the beginning it was tough, but now it’s grown to be much easier to stay focused with his workouts and nutrition.
