One thing women will always talk about is how they were treated during pregnancy and postpartum 🤍

They may forget timelines, plans, or exact details —
but they will never forget how they felt.

✨ Did they feel heard?
✨ Did they feel supported?
✨ Did they feel safe, respected, and cared for?

Your support team matters. SO MUCH.

Pregnancy and postpartum are some of the most vulnerable seasons of life 🌿 The right support can make the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling empowered.

Choose people who:
🤍 Protect your peace
🤍 Honor your voice
🤍 Show up consistently
🤍 Support you without judgment

Because the way you’re treated during this season becomes part of your story — and you deserve one rooted in care, compassion, and respect 💫

👇 Let’s talk about it 👇
Comment 🤍 if you agree, or share one thing that made you feel supported, or not, during your pregnancy or postpartum journey.

I see you if your sink is full.
I see you if it’s empty and you still feel overwhelmed.

Resetting a home isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating a little breathing room when life feels heavy. In caregiving and doula work, sometimes the most powerful support looks like dishes done, counters cleared, bottles washed, and one less thing on your mental load.

A reset can change the energy of a space—and how someone feels inside it.
You don’t have to do it all alone. 🤍

If this resonates, you’re not behind—you’re human ❤️🐻

Labor Support Partner Prep Workshop
Friday, January 30th at 5:30pm.

These workshops prepare your birth partner with a toolkit for supporting you through labor and delivery. We review the anatomy/physiology of birth, cornerstones of labor and how your partner can plug into each of these as you move through the stages of birthing. I share a list of effective comfort measures and we practice hands-on counterpressure for pain management and spinning babies techniques to help optimize fetal positioning.

Perfect for people 35+weeks. Please share with couples that may be interested. Thanks!! ☺️

Both aspects of my work involve a lot of waiting 🕰️

Sometimes immediate support isn’t needed.
Sometimes presence matters more than action.
And often, what’s needed most is grace 🌿

In those quiet moments between care, I’m choosing to start carrying a book with me 📖✨ — something grounding, something that deepens my understanding of birth, postpartum, caregiving, and the human experience 🫶

Today’s Caregiving Perspective 🧠❤️

Today’s moment of connection came through a simple game: Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza.

What looks like “just a card game” is actually a powerful exercise in memory, processing speed, attention, and emotional regulation. Remembering the sequence, staying present, reacting at the right moment — these small actions keep the brain engaged in meaningful ways.

For the individuals I care for, moments like these do more than pass the time:
✨ They support cognitive health
✨ They encourage laughter and social connection
✨ They reinforce confidence and independence
✨ They create new memories, not just recall old ones

Caregiving isn’t always about big interventions. Sometimes, it’s about meeting someone where they are and choosing activities that keep their mind active and their spirit light.

Today’s takeaway: memory care can be joyful.

Birth work is rooted in care, integrity, and respect ❤️

In birth work, I’m choosing to move forward in a way that reflects my values and the heart behind my work. Effective immediately, consultations will be offered through friends, family, past clients, and trusted word-of-mouth referrals ONLY!

Birth work should ALWAYS feel safe, respectful, and aligned—and that’s the space I’m committed to holding. ❤️🐻

I’m grateful for the continued trust, support, and referrals from those who value collaboration and community within this work! In caregiving, this doesn’t change a thing 🫶 As always, I’m grateful for everyone’s continued referrals and word of mouth.

The birth world is being failed in so many ways. We must advocate, stand firm, and provide resources & education for better outcomes. This just isn’t talked about enough 💔

The American College of Nurse-Midwives mourns the devastating death of Dr. Janell Green Smith, CNM, who died from complications of childbirth. Dr. Smith was a respected midwife, scholar, and advocate whose life and work reflected a deep commitment to respectful, evidence-based, and equitable care.

That a Black midwife and maternal health expert died after giving birth in the United States is both heartbreaking and unacceptable. Her death underscores the persistent and well-documented reality that Black women—regardless of education, income, or professional expertise—face disproportionate risks during pregnancy and childbirth due to systemic racism and failures in care.

We grieve Dr. Smith’s loss and recognize it as a profound failure of the systems meant to protect birthing people. In her honor, ACNM commits not only to reaffirming our values, but to intensifying our actions to dismantle racial inequities in maternal health, strengthen accountability in care systems, and work alongside Black midwives, clinicians, and communities to prevent future tragedies.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Smith’s family, loved ones, and the midwifery community. We carry her legacy forward with urgency, humility, and resolve.

As this year comes to a close, my heart is full of gratitude 🤍

To the many families I had the honor of serving—thank you. Whether supporting you through labor, the postpartum season, or your caregiving needs, it is truly a privilege to walk alongside families during such meaningful and often vulnerable moments. Being welcomed into your homes—your safe space—is something I never take lightly.

To my caregiving clients and families, thank you for trusting me with your loved ones and allowing me to provide consistent, compassionate care. Your trust, kindness, and relationships mean more to me than you know.

To everyone who has supported me—cheered me on, shared my name, and sent referrals—thank you. Word of mouth is the heartbeat of my work, and I’m deeply grateful for every recommendation. This work allows me to serve families while still being present with my own(for the most part), and that balance is a gift I hold close ❤️

As we step into the new year, I’m excited to grow, expand my offerings, and share a few new things that have been in the works. Stay tuned—something exciting is coming 👀

✨ If you’ve been part of my journey—whether as a client, supporter, or referral—leave a 💗 in the comments or share one word that describes your experience. Your support truly helps small businesses like mine grow.

With so much gratitude,
Jackie

When a client shared, “It just doesn’t feel like Christmas,” I knew exactly what to do. 🎄
A few small touches, a lot of love—and suddenly it did. Seeing her smile and feel even a little bit of holiday joy reminded me why I love the work that I do.
Moments like this are everything. ✨❤️🐻

I know I said I was taking a break until the new year, but this one deserved a spot on my feed 🤍☕️

At Mama Bear, we love supporting people who lead with heart and intention—and this new local coffee spot does just that. Go see him and ask his story. I won’t share it here, but it’s a really special one.

I had the peanut butter milkshake and it was a 20/10 recommend ✨ He even had me try it first to make sure I loved it and offered to remake it if I didn’t—that kind of care matters.

Let’s keep showing up for our local businesses and cheering each other on 🤎
