Remainder Round-Up

Remainder Round-Up Partnering businesses will be donating a portion of their sales to Remainder Round-Up on specific evenings between November 13 and November 18, 2017.

Remainder Round-Up, a UW-Madison student-led, community-based initiative to provide mental health services to the Madison homeless population, is coming to campus this fall. All funds raised will be donated to the Meriter Foundation, specifically, the HEALTH Program (Helping Educate and Link the Homeless), to improve the access of mental health services in Madison. This initiative was originally developed for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s BEST (Business and English Students Together) Competition by students, Chris Houben and Evan Warwick, and won first place. The project has since been taken on by Evan and ten other UW-Madison students to see it come to fruition this coming fall semester. Remainder Round-Up will be hosting specific fundraising days at the partnering businesses. Partnering business include Chipotle on November 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Mooyah on November 15 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, Panera Bread on November 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Buffalo Wild Wings throughout the entire week of November 13-18. In order for customers to ensure a portion of their sales are being donated to Remainder Round-Up, the consumer must mention while paying for their food that they are purchasing with the intent to donate to the Remainder Round-Up program. Customers can also show one of our flyers to ensure their purchase goes towards the donation.
