✨ A milestone week for the Texas AAPD!

Dr. Alex was honored to be passed the presidential gavel, marking the start of her role leading the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

The board met with Dr. Ensy Atarod, State Dental Director for HHSC, to ensure pediatric dentists’ voices are heard at the state level. Together, they addressed key issues like access to care, Medicaid challenges, and fee schedules all with the goal of improving dental care for Texas children.

We’re proud to see Dr. Alex step into this role and continue advocating for kids and families across our state.

✨ Today Dr. Alex had the privilege of speaking at the Mobile Healthcare Association Conference in Louisville!

She shared the story of Kids Tooth Team’s 5 year partnership with the St. David’s Foundation, a partnership that grew into something so much bigger than we could’ve imagined. Thanks to their donation of a mobile dental van, Kids Tooth Team Outreach was born. 🚐

Together, we’ve been able to provide over $600,000 in free dental care to kids who need it most.🦷✨

Moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do. At Alcan Dental Cooperative, it’s about more than dentistry, it’s about coming together with partners and communities to make sure every child has access to the care they deserve.❤️
