Today we’re celebrating LeAnn, one of our amazing behind-the-scenes volunteers who helps make so many special moments possible! 💝

LeAnn plays a huge role in delivering our anniversary and birthday gifts—bringing smiles to faces and reminding our patients and families that they are seen and celebrated. 🎉

She also has such a creative, crafty eye and blessed us this year with the most beautiful Valentine bouquets. Her attention to detail and willingness to help with crafts and event supplies truly makes a difference in everything we do. 🌸

It’s easy to think volunteering only happens out in the field, but the truth is—support like LeAnn’s is just as important. Every act of kindness, big or small, helps us love and serve our community well.

Ashley has been such a blessing to our team since December 2025! She truly does it all—from sitting one-on-one with patients, to hosting activities in our facilities, to jumping in and helping with events whenever needed.

One of the most special parts of Ashley’s heart for serving is that she brings her second grader along from time to time to spread joy too. He loves helping the ladies during crafts, and let me tell you—they absolutely adore him! It’s the sweetest thing to watch those connections form.

April is a powerful month of awareness, education, and action. 💙

It’s Cancer Prevention & Early Detection Month, and we’re also shining a light on several important cancers that impact thousands of lives each year—Testicular Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Head & Neck Cancer, and Oral Cancer.

Early detection can save lives. Knowing the signs, scheduling regular checkups, and taking preventive steps can make all the difference.

🔹 Testicular Cancer – Most common in younger men. Regular self-exams matter.
🔹 Esophageal Cancer – Often linked to reflux and lifestyle factors—don’t ignore persistent symptoms.
🔹 Head & Neck Cancers – Can affect the throat, voice box, and sinuses. Watch for ongoing pain or changes.
🔹 Oral Cancer – Dentists often detect early signs—don’t skip your dental visits!

Today also reminds us of the bigger picture—it’s World Health Day, a time to reflect on the importance of overall health, prevention, and access to care for all. Taking small steps today can lead to healthier tomorrows.

💛 Volunteer Spotlight: Kristen 💛

We are so lucky to have Kristen as part of our hospice volunteer family!

Since joining us in January 2026, Kristen has jumped in with both feet—helping with nursing facility activities, supporting events, and spending meaningful time visiting patients in their homes. She brings such a dependable and kind presence to everything she does.

One of the things we appreciate most about Kristen is her heart for our community. She’s always reaching out with ideas and looking for fun, meaningful ways to connect and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Outside of volunteering, Kristen is a local realtor who clearly carries that same passion for helping others into every part of her life.

Kristen, thank you for your compassion, your initiative, and the joy you bring to our team. We appreciate you more than you know! 💛
