This morning, I woke up long before the sun said good morning, and was lulled into watching the world wake from this little dock on a land that holds so many of my family’s stories, memories and shadows.
The lake, the sky, the stillness all pulled me in gently, reminding me:
connection isn’t something we find;
it’s something we feel when we intentionally slow down and become present to the moment.
This moment. The only moment we have.
As summer edges toward its unofficial close,
I feel the ache and the beauty of it all—
the turning of the wheel of the year, the tenderness and resistance to a different schedule come September,
and the invitation to be in deep intimacy with myself, with others, with this precious life.
There’s a lot brewing in my cauldron over the next month, but as we meet here on the first full day of eclipse season,
it’s time we ask ourselves:
How can we consciously create more space in alignment with the nature within and around us? ❤️
