There is a horrifying piece of legislation in California right now that would legally permit the killing of children after birth - infanticide.

Assembly Bill 2223, if passed, will decriminalize the killing of born-alive children through neglect or otherwise.

We must look closely at the text of the bill to understand how it puts newborn infants at risk of intentional killing. It states that “a person shall not be subject to civil or criminal liability or penalty with respect to their pregnancy or actual, potential, or alleged pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion or perinatal death due to a pregnancy-related cause.”

Here’s the sneaky truth: The word “perinatal” is not defined in the bill, but the common definition can include babies up until 28 days after birth.

This means that infants in California can be legally killed 28 days AFTER they are born.

Yes, you read that correctly. The bill would make it extremely challenging to prosecute acts of infanticide or even investigate the deaths of children who have died within 28 days after they were born.

Tragically, this bill has passed several legislative committees and is on its way to becoming law.

If you live in the state of California, find and call your state legislator here and tell them to vote NO on AB 2223: https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/

If you do not live in the state of CA, please forward this email to your friends and family who live in the state so they can take action against this horrific bill!

We must cause an uproar in California if we want to save our children and our culture. This is unconscionable.

Not only has the Governor vowed to make California an abortion sanctuary, but now state legislators are working overtime with the extreme abortion lobby to sanction the deaths of even more children.

AB 2223 is one of several bills introduced at the state level recently that would expand abortion and put newborn children at risk. A similar bill in Maryland has been (thankfully) put on hold because of the uproar of pro-life citizens.

Lawmakers are meant to protect and defend our most vulnerable citizens, yet they have made our precious children their targets. It is time for people of conscience to rise up against the extremism of the abortion lobby and take back lost ground - before it's too late.

Live Action is on the front lines exposing the horror of abortion and working to hold our lawmakers accountable, but we need your voice and action as well. This must stop.

Until every baby is protected, true justice is upheld, and abortion is unthinkable… we fight on.
