“You should probably stop CrossFit.”

We hear this all the time from patients who come into our clinic.

And honestly… it’s usually not bad intention from medical providers.

The medical system tends to be risk-averse, not capacity-building.

So when someone has pain, the safest recommendation on paper is often:

❌ Don’t squat
❌ Don’t deadlift
❌ Don’t press overhead
❌ Stop doing CrossFit

But here’s the problem…

Avoiding movement doesn’t actually solve the problem.

Your body doesn’t get stronger by doing less.

It gets stronger by gradually building capacity.

That means:
✔️ Preparing the tissue
✔️ Improving mobility
✔️ Strengthening through the movement
✔️ Progressively loading it the right way

This is exactly why so many people think they’re “too old” or “too broken” for things like CrossFit, lifting, or high-intensity training.

The reality?

Your body is incredibly adaptable when you train it the right way.

Our job as sports physical therapists isn’t to tell you to stop doing what you love.

It’s to help you keep doing it — better and longer.

🚨 Youth Athletes: This Injury Ends Seasons Every Year. 🚨

ACL injuries are one of the most common season-ending injuries in youth sports — and the majority of them happen without contact.

Which means they’re often preventable.

That’s why we’re hosting ACL Injury Prevention 101 at NE360 Fitness in Hooksett.

In this workshop we’ll show athletes and parents:

✅ Why ACL injuries really happen
✅ Jump + landing mistakes that increase injury risk
✅ Live jump & force testing using RunEasi technology
✅ Exercises that build strong, resilient knees

Every winter I hear this advice…

‘Don’t shovel snow. Hire someone so you don’t hurt your back.’
