Hi, I’m Leanne 👋

For those who don’t know me or have just started following recently, I thought I’d give you a little re-introduction 🥰

☀️ I’m a virtual assistant and I absolutely love what I do! I’ve been in business over a year and get to work with the BEST people!

☀️ My biggest value is freedom (hence the business name) and that is why I work for myself. I love having the freedom to be anywhere in the world and love being able to give my clients back their time so they can do what they love as well.

☀️ I’m just back from a stint in Latin America & the U.S and have plans for mainland Europe this summer 👀 I absolutely love to travel and have now been to over 40 countries!

☀️ Outside of work, I love being near/in the water and enjoy nothing more than a sunrise swim and a delicious coffee - that to me is living the dream 🥰

☀️ I speak Spanish, love margaritas and send 12 minute voice notes without realising 🙈

🎉🎉 1 YEAR IN BUSINESS 🎉🎉

That feels very surreal to write. What started in a sitting room in Galway at the start of the 3rd and longest lockdown in Ireland has gotten me all the way to Medellín, Colombia and working with the most amazing people and friends I could ever ask for 💛

It's been nowhere near perfect but I wouldn't change a thing because no matter how hard it was, I persevered and I'm so proud of the place I'm in right now.

And to anyone thinking of doing something similar, honestly, if I can do it, anyone can 💛

Cheers and looking forward to a celebratory margarita or 2 tonight 💃💃

Happy New Year 🥰 Wishing you all the year that you deserve in 2022. I have a really good feeling about it 😄

December was in a word...crazy! Between hours worked, learning new skills for clients, going from Mexico to Boston for Christmas, getting 🦠 and all the fun times in between!

I'm looking forward to a much more chill January. One of my most important goals for 2022 is to get back to reading as much as I did in 2020. If anyone is interested in starting a little book club for accountability, let me know 🥰

Oh and onto my next destination this weekend 🇨🇴🥰

Thank you sooooo much to Orla for this wonderful testimonial. Working with her is the dream and I'm so excited for everyone to see the recipe e-book we've been working on together 😍 She's absolutely poured her heart and soul into it and you'll know that straight away when you see it.

It's been an amazing few months and I'm so excited for all that is to come 🥰 x

Happy December! 🥰

Workwise, this has been my busiest month yet while I try to balance my wonderful clients with travelling. Once I figure out the secret formula, I'll let you all know 😂

What I do know though is that I'm super grateful to be working with the people that I am. When I started this business, I thought it would just be a way for me to travel and work, I could have never guessed the amazing friends I was going to make as well 💛 Forever grateful for them!

In other exciting news, I will be spending my Christmas in a very different climate to where I am now! Keep me in your thoughts when I arrive to Boston with a backpack that I packed for Mexico 🤣

Mistakes to avoid when taking your business on the road 🤠

I’ve officially been travelling and working for just over a month so I thought I would save you the hassle of making some of the mistakes that I’ve made. I’m sure I’ll make plenty more but here are some things I now know for sure:

🌻Don’t presume every hostel/hotel has good Wi-Fi. This may seem obvious but when you go to a couple that have fast access, you may fall into this trap 🙈 What I have found best for this part of the world is staying in hostels because they are built for digital nomads. They always have great Wi-Fi and you don’t need to waste extra time or money looking for co-working spaces because they’re already here.

🌻 Make friends with people who are also working. Now some of you may be stronger than me but I get fomo when friends I’ve made spend the day laying by on the beach while I’m working. Making friends with people who are also working will help this. In saying that, some people are just worth being friends with so just deal with the fomo 😅

🌻 Travel slowly! A few years back I travelled through Asia and rarely spent more than a few days in each place. That’s not going to work when you’re working full time as well. You will end up very tired and probably sick (🙋‍♀️)

Let me tell you about my experience with this 👇

So my friends were probably so sick of hearing me talking about moving to Mexico over the last few years. I went on about it all the time. I kept saying I just want to work for myself and work from the beach in Mexico. So I worked towards that, I started this business and in October, I came to Mexico.

The Monday after I arrived, I had more client enquiries in my inbox than I had ever had before! I was actually in shock. And then I remembered that I was doing exactly what I knew was best for me and I just saw it as the universe telling me well done, here’s some help to keep you going ✨

I feel in alignment alllll the time in the work I do now, with the people I work with and the freedom I’ve created for myself. I see the numbers 222 so many times a day it’s crazy but I also see that as I sign in in alignment. Like honestly, one time I unintentionally did a 22 minute run and burned 222 calories. What are even the chances of that happening? 🤯

I’d love to hear your experience of being in alignment and the signs you’ve gotten. So please share below 😍
