Dr. Christopher Phang was a pillar in the medical community.

His practice Harlem Pediatrics nurtured countless families. He was in early. He was out late. All the time. Everyday. He was dedicated. 

He loved his patients, his families, and they knew it. 

Dr. Phang welcomed in Stork and Cradle because he believed in me and the support the community needed to successfully breastfeed for the health of the babies. 

He was a consummate breastfeeding advocate.

He was the only medical provider and practice in Harlem to be certified as a NYS Breastfeeding Friendly Practice through a Department of Health Breastfeeding Friendly grant, The Fund for Public health, and the

Dr. Phang supported me relentlessly. He was not only a mentor. He was a true friend. 

He was loved and will be missed.

My sympathies to all of his family, patients, friends, and colleagues.

25 years ago today I received my license as a Registered Nurse.

Against many challenges, including giving birth in my freshman year at NYU, I still graduated on time wasted no time went on to pass my NCLEX as soon as possible after graduation.

If I would've stayed still in my 1st position, I probably would have been close to retirement.

Anyway, I have things to do. No retirement in my future. I'm just getting started.

My daughter .ebony is an instructor at so I had to attend a class.

Cycling is my least favorite movement activity.

I prefer weight lifting and walking outside but you know I had to support.

Exercise is important for strong bones, good sleep, and insulin/blood sugar balance.

I get mine in when and where it fits. 🚴🏾‍♂️

I’m grateful my thighs are strong and my knees work perfectly.

I desire my bum to go numb for my next class cause BABEEEEEE….

That seat is torture! 🥴😖
