Let me introduce myself: hello, I'm Val, a licensed esthetician and I have a studio on the Upper East Side, in Manhattan.
When I was young, still in Brazil, I suffered a lot from acne. My dream has always been to find a solution for my skin. After several (unsuccessful) attempts with homemade mixes, I came across a store that doesn't even exist anymore (Mappin - yes, a little vintage! 🙂). There, I was delighted to see girls demonstrating beauty products and doing simply amazing facials.
The feeling of a new world opening up to me was overwhelming. I really wanted to learn how to properly take care of my skin. I asked for the name of the beauty school, and I decided that I wanted to do the same for myself and for other people.
Since then, I never stopped. I am completely passionate about my profession and, today, at the age of 68, I continue to seek more knowledge to always offer the best to my clients.
For me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin! ✨

Quando jovem, ainda no Brasil, sofria muito com acne. Meu sonho sempre foi encontrar uma solução para minha pele.
Depois de várias tentativas (frustradas) com misturas caseiras, conheci uma loja que nem existe mais (Mappin - sim, um pouco vintage! 🙂). Lá, me encantei ao ver garotas demonstrando produtos de beleza e fazendo uma limpeza de pele simplesmente incrível.
A sensação de um mundo novo se abrindo para mim foi indescritível. Queria muito aprender como cuidar da minha pele com carinho e cuidado. Pedi o nome da escola de estética, pois decidi que queria fazer o mesmo por mim e por outras pessoas.
Desde então, nunca mais parei.
Sou completamente apaixonada pela minha profissão e, hoje, aos 68 anos, continuo em busca de mais conhecimento para oferecer sempre o melhor aos meus clientes.
Para mim, não há nada mais gratificante do que ajudar alguém a se sentir mais confiante e bonito(a) em sua própria pele! ✨
