During the Blizzard of March 2026, much of Schoolcraft County came to a standstill. Roads were impassable for days, and non-essential services across the region shut down.

But at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital… care never stopped.

🏥 As a Critical Access Hospital, we are required to remain open—and we did.
💙 Our team stepped up in extraordinary ways—working extended hours, sleeping on-site, and supporting one another through the storm.
🚑 We safely cared for patients while maintaining full emergency services.
🏠 Staff worked from home to reschedule appointments and keep patients informed.
☕ Meals, hotel stays, rides, and even coffee deliveries reminded us what community truly means.

While the financial impact is still being evaluated, one thing is clear:
