📣 Looking for Someone Experiencing Concussion Effects!

Hey everyone! As many of you know, I’m an acupuncturist currently expanding my specialization into concussion care. I’m looking to work with patients who are experiencing short-term or long-term effects of a concussion. (headaches, dizziness, brain fog, sleep issues, mood changes, etc.).

I haven’t had the chance to see a concussion case yet, and I’d love to support someone while also deepening my clinical training in this area. If you or someone you know might be open to this, please feel free to message me privately. 🙏

📊 **A few quick concussion stats:**

* Concussions are one of the most common brain injuries, with millions occurring each year in the U.S. alone.
* Most people recover within weeks, but a significant portion experience lingering symptoms lasting months or longer.
* Persistent post-concussion symptoms can affect sleep, mood, focus, balance, and pain levels, making early supportive care really valuable.

Thanks so much for sharing or pointing me in the right direction! 💛

"Feeling a little sick, so I whipped up carrot-ginger-orange shots for the whole family. If I’m going down, we’re ALL going down — but at least our qi will be fabulous 😂🧡
According to TCM, ginger brings the heat, carrots boost that spleen energy, and oranges keep things flowing… basically I’m a flu-ridden wellness icon. Cheers, everyone! ✨🥕🔥"

🌸 Eat With Your Cycle: TCM Diet Tips for Each Menstrual Phase🌸

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a woman’s menstrual cycle is a monthly rhythm of Qi, Blood, Yin, and Yang. Supporting each phase with the right foods can reduce PMS, ease cramps, improve energy, and bring the body into balance.

---

🔴 Menstrual Phase (Days 1–5)

Focus: Nourish Blood + warm the body
Eat more:
🍲 Warm soups, stews
🥩 Beef, lamb, chicken
🌿 Ginger, cinnamon, goji berries
Why: Your body is losing blood, so warm, nourishing foods replenish and support circulation.

🩷 Follicular Phase (Days 6–13)

Focus: Build Yin + gently boost energy
Eat more:
🥒 Cucumbers, berries
🥬 Leafy greens
🍚 Light grains (quinoa, millet)
Why: This phase is about renewal, so light, fresh foods help rebuild fluids and vitality.

💛 Ovulation (Around Day 14)

Focus: Support Qi + maintain balance
Eat more:
🍍 Pineapple, citrus
🥗 Fresh veggies, salads (but not too cold!)
🐟 Light proteins like fish
Why: Energy is at a peak—support smooth Qi flow and avoid overheating.

🤎 Luteal Phase (Days 15–28)

Focus: Strengthen Spleen + calm the Liver
Eat more:
🍠 Sweet potatoes
🍌 Bananas
🥜 Nuts, seeds
🍵 Warm herbal teas
Why: Stable blood sugar and warmth help prevent PMS, mood swings, bloating, and cravings.

---

✨ TCM Wisdom: When you eat in harmony with your cycle, your hormones feel supported—not stressed.

Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day

Today and every day, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all the brave men and women who have served our country. Veterans Day means so much to me — my husband and many members of my family are proud veterans, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength, sacrifice, and love it takes to serve. ❤️

To every veteran: your courage and dedication don’t go unnoticed. You’ve given so much so that we can live freely, and I’m endlessly grateful.

👉 Tag your favorite veterans in the comments below! I’d love to personally reach out to thank them — and as a small token of appreciation, I’m offering a special discounted appointment to all veterans who book on Veterans Day (Nov. 11).

(Appointments can be scheduled for a later date — you just need to book that day!)

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your strength. 💙

Acne + Acupuncture: More Than Skin Deep

I’m sharing this because it’s personal — this is me in high school, when acne really affected how I felt about myself. My skin wasn’t just something I saw in the mirror every day — it was something that shaped how I showed up in the world. I remember the self-consciousness, the frustration, and the endless cycle of trying everything to make it go away.

What I didn’t realize then is how connected our skin is to what’s happening inside — our hormones, digestion, stress levels, sleep, and emotions. In Chinese medicine, acne isn’t just treated from the outside in, but from the inside out.

✨ How acupuncture can help:

Balances hormones and regulates cycles (a big factor for hormonal acne)

Supports digestion and detoxification — clearing internal “heat” and stagnation

Calms the nervous system and reduces stress-related breakouts

Improves circulation and healing for healthier skin overall

Acupuncture takes a holistic approach — it’s not just about clearer skin, but helping you feel more balanced, confident, and connected in your body.

If acne has affected your confidence (like it once did mine), please know you’re not alone — and healing is possible. 💛

If you’d like to learn more or see if acupuncture might help your skin, you can book a session or reach out with questions!

💀🌼 Celebrating Día de los Mu***os in Mankato! 🌼💀

Last weekend I had the joy of attending the Día de los Mu***os celebration here in Mankato, MN — such a beautiful way to support our community and honor this meaningful tradition. The colors, music, and ofrendas (altars) were absolutely stunning and full of love. 💖

If you know me, you know I have a deep fascination and respect for the cycles of life and death — the way endings and beginnings weave together. That’s one reason I’m so drawn to this celebration and its message of remembrance, joy, and connection.

A few fun facts about Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead):
🕯️ It’s not a somber holiday, but a joyful honoring of life and memory.
🌸 Marigolds (cempasúchil) are believed to guide spirits back with their vibrant color and scent.
💀 Altars and sugar skulls are created to celebrate loved ones who have passed, reminding us that their spirit lives on through love.

As an acupuncturist, I’m always inspired by how cultures around the world recognize the balance between life and death — and the healing power of community.

Grateful to be part of such a vibrant and heartfelt event. 💛

🐾✨ Happy National Cat Day! ✨🐾

Did you know that cats can benefit from acupuncture too? 🐈💛 It can help with arthritis, mobility issues, allergies, digestion, and even stress — many cats actually relax (or purr!) during treatments.

While I don’t personally offer acupuncture for animals, I’d be happy to help you find a qualified veterinary acupuncturist in your area. Our furry friends deserve holistic care too!

Here I am with the cats who’ve stolen my heart — Appa, Nigel (RIP), and Schmidt. 🐾💚

✨ Even acupuncturists need a little acupuncture! ✨

Today I received treatment from another skilled practitioner for carpal tunnel syndrome — and wow, it was a great reminder of how connected our bodies truly are.

👐 Did you know that carpal tunnel or nerve issues in the hands don’t always start in the wrist? Often, the root of the problem can stem from tension or misalignment in the neck and shoulder area, where the nerves that travel down into the arm begin. And based off this photo, it's definitively looking like there's stagnation in the upper back/scapula region.

That’s one of the things I love about acupuncture — it looks at the whole system, not just the symptoms. When we treat the root, the body can heal more fully.

Grateful for this medicine and for the healing hands that keep healers well. 💆‍♀️🌿
