Matteo's Mission "Petting With Purpose"
Works with victims of crime/traumatic events, community, schools, hospitals, senior centers, first responders, etc.

The dog handlers travel with dogs to speak at conferences, etc. on the benefit of utilizing therapy dogs. Hometown Hero Summer 2024

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office enjoyed attending class today with children from the Manning United Methodist Church's Mother's Morning Out Program. The children were very attentive and smiles were spread from ear to ear!

We have been out of the loop for almost 3 weeks. Our parents both had RSV and were super sick.

We were so excited to be back out of the house and back to work today at our church's annual Easter Egg Scramble. It was so nice to be back at M1AG Group Page and see our church friends as well as visiting friends and guests. WE HAD A BLAST watching 40 kids scrambling for over 1200 eggs!

"Rest & Recovery"

Even the hardest workers need a "paws." 🐾 Our amazing therapy dogs, Matteo & Minka, are officially off-duty for the weekend for a much-needed break! This past week was extremely busy with community events and state activities. The pups enjoyed spreading smiles and comfort to others in need! This weekend is for extra naps, backyard zoomies, and zero alarms. Rest up, heroes—you’ve earned it! ❤️💤

HIGHLIGHTS 1 from S.C. Statehouse:

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office,
participated in the "Victims Matter Rally and Advocacy Day"! We were there to support victims, other advocates, chaplains, therapy dog programs and speak to our legislators about victims rights.

Everyone met in the State House Lobby to hear several speakers, including elected officials, Sarah Ford (SCVAN), Sara Barber (SCCADVASA). Our hearts were touched and strengthened by another speaker, Evelyn Mitchell, a survivor whose advocacy resulted in the establishment of the r**e kit tracking database!

Our networking was well worth it today because we will be bringing more awareness of Victim's Rights and Advocacy back into Clarendon County.

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office visited an amazing group of very smart students from the Clarendon County 4-H Club. We were very impressed by this group. You are looking at the future Clarendon County Community Leaders!!!

4-H helps youth find their spark, build real world skills and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners.

For our youth the road ahead may be challenging, yet 4-H'ers are succeeding. Data shows that compared to their peers they're:

2x more likely to have the goal of being a leader;
3x more likely to participate in community service; and
2x more likely to report living life with intentionality and purpose.

The 1st annual Clarendon County March into Awareness Community Resource Fair was a great opportunity to network with over 60 other community programs. Go Clarendon County!
