Many families are surprised to learn that lactation support is often covered by insurance — even during pregnancy.

You don’t have to wait until feeding feels stressful or overwhelming to get help.
Prenatal visits can help you feel prepared before baby arrives, and postpartum support ensures you have guidance when questions or challenges come up.

I accept most major insurance plans, and many families qualify for visits at little to no out-of-pocket cost.

Because getting the right support early can make all the difference in your feeding journey.

Around 3–5 months, many babies suddenly act like nursing is the least interesting thing in the world.

They pop on and off, look around, smile, wiggle… and feeds start feeling chaotic.
Good news: this is developmentally normal — your baby’s brain is growing and noticing EVERYTHING.
Try these simple tweaks to help them stay focused and get a full feed

✔️ Reduce stimulation

✔️ Offer something to focus on

✔️ Engage with your voice

✔️ Adjust positioning

✔️ Follow their temperament

Remember: distracted feeding ≠ low supply.

It usually means your baby is curious, not that your milk is gone.

Save this for later and send to a mama who keeps saying “my baby won’t stay latched!”

You’ve probably heard, “The hospital LC is all you need.”

But is that really true? 🤍
I just published a new blog breaking down hospital vs private lactation support—what actually happens behind the scenes and why so many families need more than rushed hospital care to feel confident feeding their baby.
If you’re pregnant or newly postpartum, this is for you.

How many of you made an extra run to the store or some other out of the ordinary chore(s) in preparation for the winter storms?

What if we approached our feeding choices for newborns with the same "just in case" prep?

I know lots of families who are very insistent on breastfeeding their baby yet have no foundation to help them get started on the path to success.

What can you be doing in the antepartum period?
-Take a breastfeeding class
-Call your insurance about lactation coverage and breast pumps
-Research local lactation resources including a private practice IBCLC
-Get a fl**ge fitting

You may not need all these things but wouldn't it be great to have it lined up "just in case"?
