During National Volunteer Month, we’re reminded how much of a difference our volunteers make, not just in what they do, but in how they show up.
At AlēvCare Hospice, volunteering can look a lot of different ways:
• Spending time with patients and families
• Helping in the office or with administrative needs
• Supporting events and community outreach
• Writing cards, making calls, or offering encouragement
Each role matters. And in many ways, it reflects something deeper, a willingness to serve others with compassion and purpose.
Volunteering doesn’t just impact the people we care for, it has a way of strengthening your own well-being too, bringing a sense of peace, connection, and meaning that’s hard to find anywhere else.
"Volunteers play such a special role in hospice. If you’re in our area, we’d love for you to serve with us, but no matter where you are, I’d encourage you to get involved with a hospice near you. It’s one of the most meaningful ways you can give your time." - David Dowd, CEO
If you’ve ever felt led to give your time in a way that truly matters, we’d love to connect with you.
