We proudly support Utah Bill 204, because primary care should mean primary copay. This bill helps reduce barriers to care, giving patients a better opportunity to complete their treatment and access the healthcare they need. It has passed the Senate and is now heading to the House. 🎉 Your voice matters! Express your support for Bill 204 and share why improving access to primary care matters to you and your community.
Step 2: Once you locate your Representative, click the button below to send a prefilled message in support of Bill 204.
Together, we can help ensure this important legislation crosses the finish line and strengthens access to care for patients across Utah.

🚨 Utah Patients Deserve Affordable Access to Physical Therapy 🚨
Utah recognizes physical therapists as primary care providers through Bill 196, but some insurers still charge higher “specialty” copays for PT.
Higher copays can delay treatment, limit recovery, and lead to worse outcomes.
That is why we support Utah Senate Bill 204, which would require physical therapy to be covered under the primary care copay.

Therapy West was founded in 1996 with the firm belief that optimal healing requires a blend of great character with compassionate competence. Recognizing these characteristics result in excellent care, we have expanded over the years to spread our reach to as many as possible. We conveniently serve you in several locations throughout the heart of central Utah.
Our clinics provide clean, energetic, and uplifting atmospheres for your optimal healing. Therapy West Physical Therapists serve a wide range of patients with orthopedic and sports medicine issues to passionately help you return “back to life”. We work with you through your injury from start to finish, providing a robust home exercise program to prevent the injury from repeating in the future. Our patients often comment on the unique environment that is uplifting, high-skilled, and service-oriented, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because of Therapy West’s fundamental belief that you must diagnose before you prescribe, we are here to listen to you. We believe working “with you” not “on you” achieves the best results. Though we may not always be the ones who heal your direct ailment, we can facilitate getting you in the right hands. Therapy West has surprised many with our fresh and engaging approach to physical therapy.
It is our mission to provide an unparalleled level of service to the patients with whom we come in contact. We carry this level of service to the physicians, case managers, and local industries in our outcomes and communication as well. We believe in order to provide the best rehabilitation possible, a high level of service must be at the core of all we do.
“WE EXIST TO PASSIONATELY HELP YOU GET ‘BACK TO LIFE.’ WE ACCOMPLISH THIS WITH HIGHLY SKILLED THERAPISTS, UPLIFTING AND ENERGETIC ENVIRONMENTS AND PUTTING YOU, THE PATIENT, AT THE FOREFRONT OF ALL WE DO.”
- DEREK C. OVERLY | CEO + CO-FOUNDER
We also believe it’s important to carry over this high level of service to our community. Throughout the year, our staff enjoys taking time away from work in order to serve those around us. We believe it is important to give back and we do this through serving in religious, civic, educational, and athletic organizations.
