So, was enjoying a night swim in my neighborhood and the topic of Cuba came up. I hope everyone is aware I am still very much a travel agent😁. Since 2017 in fact with my 7th year anniversary coming up on 07/08/24. My main focus when I started was Disney and Cuba. Well, I can't get my estranged husband to cooperate with me on partnering for resources and connects to provide a quality of vacation I can put my name behind. In 2019 I partnered with a tour guide in Havana. That guide has not proven reliable and when cruises were cancelled without notice that year by Trump I was left holding the bag on tours that we had established. I have tried to regain momentum with my guide but again, I don't feel confident in the services. The last straw was a family friend being put off for two weeks and quoted a huge markup with a lot less options. I had decided to shift my focus to India (where I have established a partner) and with other EuroAsian destinations.

Because I am busy I don't want to handle quick individual trips. I have found over the years these people are not looking for unique people to people connections. They are looking for a bargain deal to check off their bucket list. I'm not that travel agent. No shade though. I AM that customer😂. I've always booked my own travel. I did it with Cuba in 2013, with very basic Spanish and my typical laser focus to meet my then boyfriend. I fell in love with Cuba (a lot more than I did him) and it has truly opened my eyes to the world ever since.

Starting in September 2024 I will again begin offering tour dates. I am partnered with my nurse friend who is an avid traveler and we are vetting new vendors, guides, resources to make Cuba travel easier. I will also be utilizing an updated list of How To/Things to Do for my clients. If you spend money in Cuba it helps the Cuban people which has nothing to do with supporting a Communist regime. I can certainly show you how and am motivated by the family and friends I have living there still. Stay tuned!

I think I'm going to build packages to each destination for October and November. I have a lot of my clients that want to travel but because of the pandemic want less populated destinations.

American and Southwest Airlines intend to resume an increased schedule of international flights next month. On Thursday, Southwest announced that several of its international routes will resume service on June 7. American has resumed its flights to Madrid.
