🌟 What an incredible week at the 147th Annual National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) Conference! 🌟

Our Georgia delegation was proud to have strong representation from both the Georgia Army and Air National Guard. We are excited to share a few highlights from this year’s conference:

✅ Georgia was recognized for achieving 100% of our membership goal for the 24th consecutive year—a true testament to the strength and commitment of our members!

🖼️We were extremely honored to have Georgia State Representative Josh Bonner with us. Representative Bonner received the notable Patrick Henry Award for his outstanding and exceptional support of the Georgia National Guard.

🏆 The 1-118th Field Artillery Battalion was awarded the prestigious Milton Reckord Trophy—congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

🎖️ Congratulations as well to CW2 Derick Owens, elected as the Region III Representative on the NGAUS Committee on Warrant Officer Issues!

What an honor for the National Guard Association of Georgia (NGAGA) to be recognized by Congressman Rich McCormick! We're incredibly grateful to have accepted a flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol on July 4, 2025, in "recognition of excellent service to our country."

Huge thanks to U.S. Army veteran Ron Goodbub for the special presentation.

Congressman McCormick, we deeply appreciate your servant leadership and dedication to our military and veterans, drawing from your own distinguished service in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Thank you for this incredible recognition of NGAGA!

Congratulations!

The 165th Airlift Wing & Air Dominance Center are in search for our newest Honorary Commanders!

This program is designed to build strong, lasting relationships between our Airmen and influential community leaders. As an honorary commander, you'll gain a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the Georgia Air National Guard’s mission, people, and operations.

This two-year program pairs selected leaders with unit commanders to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.

We are looking for individuals that will be able to attend base events, observe training exercises, and engage with Airmen across various specialties.

The goal is to foster transparency, trust, and a shared commitment to serving our community and nation. We’re looking for leaders who are passionate about making an impact and learning more about the role of the 165th and ADC in both state and national defense.
