WELCOME TO MY “TED POST” 😉
Some people like to add a drop to their water. Others prefer to take it in a small shot of water or in a capsule. It’s really about what feels easiest and most consistent for you.
This is one of those things that gets shared very simply…
“Take citrus oils daily for brain support” …but what’s actually happening is a lot more interesting.
This isn’t acting like a vitamin for your brain. It’s acting like a state shifter.
Citrus oils (Tangerine, Grapefruit, Wild Orange) are very high in a compound called limonene.
Limonene is small, fast, and interacts quickly with the body — especially through the olfactory system (your sense of smell).
When you smell or take in citrus oils, the signal goes straight to the limbic brain.
That’s the part of your brain that controls:
• emotion
• memory
• safety perception
• nervous system tone
👉 This is why citrus doesn’t just “wake you up” …it changes how your brain is operating in that moment.
And this is the part most people miss: Your brain doesn’t function based on what you take…
it functions based on the state your body is in.
If your body is:

That’s not wrong…
but it’s incomplete.
Because the real power isn’t just in taking it — it’s in pairing it with a signal your body understands.
Here’s how to actually use this in a way that works:
🌿 Morning Brain Anchor 1 drop Wild Orange (or Tangerine) in water
Inhale from your hands
Then do a quick 3–2–1 reset
Now you’ve created a pattern: scent + awareness + body = brain activation
