Sorry we haven’t posted an update, but we wanted to go ahead and give some information.

Thursday we were able to get the stitches and drain out! We will still be on soft foods and limited mobility for another 3 weeks. We are still doctoring the eyes but hopefully that is temporary as well. Everything is going good and smooth, but we will not know if the paralysis is temporary for up to 3-6 months.

We did look at MyChart at the results of the mass. Ginny read them over and it looks to be benign! 🙌🏻 We are still waiting for the official answers but GOD IS GOOD, SO GOOD! 💙

As we start the week off, please pray for a good follow up visit this Thursday and that we get the results of the mass that was removed last week in surgery.

We are hoping that we get stitches and blood drain out Thursday at our first follow up appointment so we can get back to a little bit of normalcy.

We are also praying that the results are indeed back and that the mass is benign.

We had a wonderful weekend back home seeing family and friends, enjoying the Super Bowl. We are blessed! We love you all and cannot thank you all for your continuous support and prayers!

We just left from visiting with Hunter and he is doing good and happy to be home. Please keep the prayers coming for a good recovery for him. I know the family appreciates everything from everyone. 💙💚

Time for some praises!!! 🙌🏻

Hunter has been discharged out of the hospital! So much relief, but so much worry still for the days ahead. They will stay at the hotel that’s 2 miles away from the hospital tonight just to be sure everything is okay.

Please pray for Amanda, Kevin and Hunter for the post op care, that everything goes smoothly and heals up great! Hunter will have a follow up appointment next week.

Thank you everyone for the continued prayers before, during and those to come! Our family is appreciative and we know the power of prayer works!

*UPDATE*

Dr Cheng just came in after hours to see Hunter, so we have a better update of what is going on and the future looks like. Hunter does have a blood clot at the incision site but the doctor says that going in to drain and remove is too great of risk on the new nerve graph at this time. Dr Cheng is confident the body will absorb it with no issues. There is a huge possibility that Hunter will be discharged tomorrow with the drain, but if he does, they will stay another night at hotel close to hospital just to be safe.

Please pray we have a good night of sleep and no hiccups! Hunter got good shower (body only for now), change of clothes and free linens so he is ready for some sleep! Maw is staying at the hospital with him so Amanda and Kevin can get a good nights rest to be ready for tomorrow! 💙

Be on the look out for the update tomorrow, one way or another!

Just a quick update:

We are still in the hospital being monitored. No new information, but once we know something, we will update you all.

Family is asking for continuous prayers for them while they are still at the hospital away from Avery Grace and their dogs. It is hard on them being away from one of their kiddos and Avery is missing them just as much!

Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Hunter had a good night of sleep. A few hiccups but they are under control. We are waiting for Dr Cheng and Dr Lui to come in to visit with us on our next steps.

In the meantime, please say a few prayers for a good visit with them!

Last update for the night. After Hunter woke up from the surgery in his room, it was determined that both the upper and lower facial nerves were damaged. Only the lower nerve was reconstructed during the surgery because they didn’t think the upper one was damaged. He is on hourly eye drops now and we will learn more hopefully in the morning from Dr Chang on what this new development means long term.

Of course, we will keep you all updated, but in the mean time, we still could use prayers!

(Hunter has requested that we do not put a picture of him up yet and when he is ready, he will let us know.)

Michael and I just got to FaceTime with Hunter and he looks great. He is being his normal self throwing his jokes, talking smack and of course talking about his new hunting stuff! We will post an update in the morning. I know the family feels the love from everyone and appreciates you all ❤️

He is handsome as ever and the incision site looks great! The scar is going to be there but it’s going to be covered my facial hair for the most part. He is swollen of course, but that will go down with time.
