Wrapped up fabrication and install of the new entrance sign at the Southside Tennis Complex — built and delivered as one solid piece.

‼️Employee Spotlight: Meet the owners‼️

McMahan Industrial Services was built on a blend of Ashley’s leadership and Justin’s trade knowledge. Ashley brings the business and sales experience, and Justin brings the welding and trade skills. After meeting and spending a few years in Charleston, South Carolina (where Justin trained and worked as an underwater diver), they eventually made their way back to Iowa with the idea of building something of their own.

After moving back to Iowa, they launched McMahan Industrial Services, LLC—named after Ashley’s maiden name. What began in their Southside Des Moines home quickly grew. By 2019, they opened their shop in Norwalk, which now serves as home base for equipment, materials, and custom fabrication projects.

To keep up with growing demand, they custom-built a mobile pipe-fitting trailer in 2020, allowing the crew to work directly in the field with a fully mobile setup.

Today, McMahan offers full-service welding, mobile welding, custom fabrication, tank installation, millwright services, insulation, and pipe fitting. Based in Norwalk, they proudly serve the greater Des Moines area, Sioux City, Council Bluffs, and parts of Omaha—bringing the shop to you.

This hopper replacement project tackled the receiving leg at a fertilizer facility that needed an upgrade — and fast. We demoed the original hopper, prepped the area, and installed a brand-new, 100% stainless steel replacement built to handle tough conditions and corrosive material flow.
