Keeping Our Skills Sharp for YOU! 🩺✨
At BC Hospital, providing the best care for our community means never hitting "pause" on learning. Our nurses and clinical staff recently participated in a Nursing Boot Camp to brush up on high-level competencies—especially those critical skills and procedures we don’t perform every single day.

It was a true team effort! Even our CNO and Management Team rolled up their sleeves to participate in these competencies alongside our frontline staff. 🤝

From mastering the epoc® bedside analyzer (giving us critical results in under 60 seconds!) to practicing advanced trauma protocols, we are committed to being ready for any situation, at any time. ⏱️💪

Our team is officially leveled up! 🎓🏥

We recently completed hands-on training for the epoc® Blood Analysis System, a game-changer for bedside diagnostics. This device marries 3 analyzer methodologies into 1, giving us results for blood gases, electrolytes, and kidney function in under 60 seconds with less than 1cc of blood.

Why this matters for our patients:
In critical situations like Trauma, Sepsis, or Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), every second counts. This expedited turnaround allows our providers to initiate life-saving treatments faster than ever before. ⏱️💉
