āš ļø Trigger Warning: Death, spiritual grief, and emotional duality. Please care for your heart as you read.

Some grief is too big for tidy answers.
It’s layered, spiritual, and not meant to be squeezed into a checklist.

When both of my parents died — on the same day of the year, a decade apart — it changed everything. My father’s death left me hollow and searching for comfort I’d never feel again. My mother’s passing was complicated and freeing, the threshold to my spiritual awakening.

This is the kind of grief A Sacred Ache was made to hold — the kind that doesn’t make sense, the kind you can’t always say out loud. Here, nothing is ā€œtoo muchā€ or ā€œtoo messyā€ to be honored.

Blog 2, Why Grief Needs a Space Like This, is now live on Patreon.

Why This Space Matters & What’s Coming Next

āš ļø Trigger warning: grief, spiritual reflection, emotional honesty

I’ve felt for years that there wasn’t enough real talk about grief—
not the polished, sugar-coated kind, but the raw, messy, sacred truth.

That’s why I’m creating this space.

Not to fix grief.
Not to preach or advise.
But to hold space for it.

A place where truth and tenderness can live side by side.
Where you can be loud or silent and still be held with love.

In this community and blog, we’ll explore all the parts of grief no one likes to talk about—
but that deserve to be acknowledged and honored:
the ache, the confusion, the joy and the pain, the spiritual questions, the personal stories, and the messy realities.

It’s a soul-led blog series called A Sacred Ache: What They Don’t Tell You About Grief,
and a sacred community on Patreon called A Sacred Place for Grief—
where all grief is honored, no matter your beliefs, your faith, or your grief style.

If you’ve been carrying something heavy…
If you’ve felt alone in your sorrow…
Or if you just want to know it’s okay to feel all of it—

You’re not alone.
And you’re welcome there, just as you are.
✨ I hope you’ll join me on this journey as it continues to unfold.

We Talked About Death Like It Was Normal. Maybe That’s Why I Still Do.

āš ļø āš ļøāš ļøTrigger warning: grief, death, emotional reflection āš ļøāš ļøāš ļø

I’ve always looked at death a little differently.

My family was made up of firefighters, EMTs, and a labor and delivery nurse.
So life and death were regular parts of the conversation—even at the dinner table.

It took me a long time to realize most people don’t talk about death that openly—or that raw.

As I got older, I saw grief in many forms.
Some of it came quietly.
Some of it came all at once.
None of it came with a guidebook.

I’ve lost grandparents, parents, and babies I never got to meet.
I’ve missed final goodbyes.
I’ve carried guilt.
I’ve experienced the duality of smiling as well as crying in funeral homes.
I’ve held space for others when they couldn’t hold their own grief.

And I’ve learned something simple but important:

šŸ’” Grief doesn’t go away.
We just learn how to live around it.

It reshapes everything.
Your days. Your body. Your sense of time.
And even when no one else sees it…
You still carry it.

I hope you’ll join me as I continue this journey—
to speak more honestly, openly, and soulfully about the one universal truth we all face:
šŸŒ™ Everyone experiences grief.
