So thankful to be home, even briefly, from South Korea. I couldn't wait to get a good run in so I hit the ground running, by getting a moderate jog in around Creve Couer Lake today in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The scenery and weather were both immaculate. There is no place like home here in the United States of America. I love my country and kissed the ground once I got back on US Soil. Enjoy your Fall Season and stay Inspired Beautiful People!πŸŒžπŸ‚πŸ’¦πŸŒˆπŸ”₯πŸƒπŸΎπŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ™πŸΎ

Soldiers are taught to adapt an overcome many different circumstances. I am getting use to life in Waegwan, South Korea and have made adjustments. My days are long and unpredictable with all the tension in the region posed by North Korea. One way to help ease my mind is doing what I do best and that's indulge into my physical fitness. Today was the first day I had a chance to train outdoors. The weather was really nice on my Army Post (Camp Carroll) which allowed me to get a nice run in. The terrain in this part of the world is very very very hilly and can be challenging for even the most advance runner.β›° Now that I'm settled in this country I plan to post some footage of my travels to here and some of the sites I've seen. I ask everyone to Pray for the best outcome between the USA and North Korea.πŸ™πŸΎπŸ€”πŸŒžπŸŒˆπŸ”₯πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’ͺ🏾

If you're an advent outdoorsman and fitness fanatic who loves running like myself, you got to visit a State Park. I did a long run today on the renowned Katy Trails. I started at the assembly area off the 364 Hwy, ran up 4 miles to the Lewis Clark Boat House Museum next to Ameristar, where I refueled and ran back. Along my route the lush, thick, green vegetation was beautiful and offered much shade cover. I seen an abundance of wild life to include, Rabbits, Wild Turkey, Red Birds, Deer, etc. Katy Trails is beautiful and reminds me of running in a park on the base in Fort Lee, Virginia called the Battle Filed. A bit of caution, before running on a trail be sure to invest in the proper shoes to prevent slips, trips or falls on loose rocks and gravel. Be sure to also know your route and have water on hand. Katy Trails has very diverse terrain and also have many long routes for bike riders. Variety is the spice of life. To add an extra spark to your fitness program, train outdoors by walking, hiking, jogging or biking on a trail. Enjoy!πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΎπŸ¦ŠπŸΏπŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ƒπŸŒ²πŸ”₯🌈🌞

The most dreadful and resentful aspect of physical training that most fitness enthusiast dislike is cardio. Believe it or not I am one of them--πŸ˜‚. Working out and lifting weights comes fairly easy for me but when you mention the word cardio, like most people I show fangsπŸ‘ΉπŸ˜Ή. Thats why I love running outdoors. When you live in a big metropolitan area like Saint Louis, there are many different places to go out and run, which helps make cardio more enjoyable. Outdoors running helps take your mind off the cardio and allows you to soak up the views and scenery.

Today I went for a long run at Saint Louis Community College Florissant Valley Campus next to Ferguson Planet Fitness. I usually check into PF, lock my valuables up then walk over to college. There is a 1.5 mile route that wraps around the campus which offers a challenging walk or run for anyone. Many runners call this location "Flo Valley or Rolling Hills" because the terrain isn't flat. There are many steep hills along this running course which means every time you go down you have to climb back up. One of the steepest hills I nick named "Raspiuscia" from NorbitπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Give this location a try and I guarantee you want be disappointed. After the first lap my legs where screaming and I could feel every muscle in my leg working. But I kept pushing until my 6 miles ran goal was achieved. Of course I hit the gym afterwards and crushed Back and Biceps! Have fun on your run and thank me later!πŸƒπŸΎπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸŒˆπŸ”₯😊πŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

Just waking up in the morning and got to thank God for an amazing body like this! πŸ”₯πŸ™πŸΎ. I know today is going to be a good day like Ice Cube Say! 🌞🎧🎼. You got to love yourself, you got to praise yourself and be happy with yourself because you only get one self. Your body is your temple and you have to treat it as suchπŸ›. When I started my cut I was at 220lbs a little over 4 months ago and now I'm hovering 185lbs. As you can see this has been a successful leaning out period. I did it slow and easy gradually dropping an average of 2lbs a week. I share this to inspire others and to let you know Rome wasn't built in a day. If you're trying to get in shape, don't give, don't settle and don't quit. When you're losing weight you will be the last one to know it but others around you will. Set goals, set benchmarks and shatter them. Stay in the fight beautiful people!πŸ‘ŠπŸΎπŸ˜ŠπŸ’ͺ🏾⭐️🌈πŸ’₯

There is nothing like a good long run during lunch time while everyone else goes out to eat and blow their Macros πŸŸπŸ•πŸŒπŸ”πŸ˜‹. When you ask them to join you instead they say maybe tomorrow which is the same thing they've been saying for a long timeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Tomorrow is not promised so seize each day and count all your blessings. Consistency and discipline are two keys to achieving fitness success my beautiful people. I could've easily gave in and succumbed to the office luncheon pressure. As a bodybuilder, running in pavement with so much muscle is already challenging in itself. Multiply that with carb depletion, low energy, hot weather, lack of sleep and you got yourself a real test of your intestinal fortitude. Even if people don't understand you it's ok, don't try to make them and continue to pursue your passion. Always remember your Goals and remind yourself of your "WHY." Stay on top of your fitness and get your workouts in the book every opportunity you get the chance to. Stay the course!!πŸ’ͺ🏾🌈πŸ”₯πŸ˜ŠπŸƒπŸΎ

If you really want to find out how strong you are, trying doing a long run outdoors on little to no carbs and no sleep. I'm currently prepping for a show and steadily slashing my carbs. Those who prep for shows and cut back on carbs no exactly what I'm talking about and should feel my pain. But no matter what we have to keep pushing and tell ourselves, "there is no quit in me." If you're getting ready for shows, stay the course and let the diet and cardio do their job......Lovely run tonight!πŸƒπŸΎπŸ˜ŠπŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ”₯

Running is one of my favorite cardio conditioning activities. Growing up playing sports in the country we ran through trails deep in the forest and on red dirt roads. A date on the weekend would consist of a long jog because everyone I knew was into athletics. So now running in downtown Saint Louis amongst all the lights, sky scrapers, pedestrians and vehicle traffic is never a dull moment and always an adventure. The temp wasn't too bad tonight, 85 degrees which still had me raining sweat. Go for a run, you'll love it. πŸ”₯πŸƒπŸΎπŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ🏾🌈

Today was a good day, did a nice long toasty run at Forest Park in 100 degree temp. Charged each hill and cruised each flat straight away. It was a challenge especially being glycogen depleted and running off low carbs, but overtime you learn to push through without it. The thing I love about Forest Park most is the rolling terrain which allows you to get some good conditioning training. The Park is also beautiful which encompasses The Saint Louis Zoo, Science Center, The History Museum and several other popular attractions which you get to view as you run. During my run I passed by numerous cookouts, picnics and two Family Reunions. I was stopped as a ran by one of these functions and was offered a plate of food along with something cold to drink. I thanked the family and stated "very nice gesture and it is great to know the world still has some really good people."...... Time to hit the gym now. πŸƒπŸΎπŸ”₯πŸ™πŸΎπŸŒˆπŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ’¦πŸ˜Š
