If you're an advent outdoorsman and fitness fanatic who loves running like myself, you got to visit a State Park. I did a long run today on the renowned Katy Trails. I started at the assembly area off the 364 Hwy, ran up 4 miles to the Lewis Clark Boat House Museum next to Ameristar, where I refueled and ran back. Along my route the lush, thick, green vegetation was beautiful and offered much shade cover. I seen an abundance of wild life to include, Rabbits, Wild Turkey, Red Birds, Deer, etc. Katy Trails is beautiful and reminds me of running in a park on the base in Fort Lee, Virginia called the Battle Filed. A bit of caution, before running on a trail be sure to invest in the proper shoes to prevent slips, trips or falls on loose rocks and gravel. Be sure to also know your route and have water on hand. Katy Trails has very diverse terrain and also have many long routes for bike riders. Variety is the spice of life. To add an extra spark to your fitness program, train outdoors by walking, hiking, jogging or biking on a trail. Enjoy!ππ½ββοΈππΎπ¦πΏπ¦π¦π²π₯ππ
