Molly is a New Jersey State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Syracuse University. She has many years of experience working with autistic and medically complex children ranging from the ages of 3 to 21. Molly is passionate about functional language, gestalt language processing, and AAC, and is an advocate for child-led therapy!

Cara is a NJ State licensed and National Board-Certified Occupational Therapist. She studied at Quinnipiac University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health-Science and Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has extensive experience working with the pediatric population, treating a variety of needs, including self-care skills, social skills, fine and visual-motor skills, self-regulation, and sensory processing. Cara is passionate about working with children and their parents/caregivers to help them grow to their fullest potential!

We are VERY EXCITED to announce that we are moving into a spacious office in Matawan/Old Bridge!

The office includes a sensory gym, several treatment rooms for one on one therapy, and a large rockwall! Pictures to follow soon!

Here are some things to avoid to help promote language development and reduce frustration in children with language delays.

1. Don't ask for words. Repeated exposure to words will increase the likelihood of your child saying it in the future without feeling pressure to speak.

2. Don't withhold items. Even if your child doesn't say the word, they are learning and being exposed to it in context, so they can use it in the future.

3. Although there isn't anything wrong with reading a book, it is important to allow your child an opportunity to communicate. (simply by pausing).
If your child doesn't fill in the blank, then you say the word while pointing to the picture
